September 8, 201313 yr Author I agree. Had it been a hard fought game with few mistakes, would not think a thing of it. However what we just witneesed is alarming. But not surprising what is the most disturbing, although we should all be used to it by now is that once the Bears started mounting their comback after being down by 2 scores in the 3rd qtr, Marvin Lewis looked like a Deer in the headlights. He never knows how to make adjusments, never have and that has cost us more games than I care to count. The stupid personal foul penalties is all on the coach also. A well coached team doesn't make those type of mistakes.
September 8, 201313 yr Have you seen most of the national experts picks for SB this year? Not one this past wweek picked the Bengals to be in the SB. I think you need to take off those Orangee colored glasses and start reading other so called experts thoughts instead of just the ones that talk about the Bengals. Now as far as the secondary, which I have mentioned before with you isn't close to the 2005 team's secondary. What is your excuse for their play today? Leon Hall was pathetic along with the rest of the DB's I have seen people pick the Bengals to win the super bowl. Should I post links to that to prove you wrong on that. Most national people have talked about how they are the most talented team and the announcers today even talked about it. So I could buy your argument if I was the only one since I am a Bengals fan but since people with no bias say the same as me. I Will stick to what I said instead of your opining which also bias because your use to negative and does not allow you a realistic opinion either Your 2005 defense finished 27th against the pass which you keep ignoring. They had three games that they got 15 interceptions. So for them to finish 27th shows had bad they were every play in a game that they didn't get an interception. Unless you have pure shut down corners on the whole field which most teams do not. If you give a quarterback all day to throw like they did today they will get picked apart not that complicated man With all that said the Bengals and coaches definitely blew this one. No excuse to have blown this game.

No excuse to have blown this game. You still stated that a Pro Bowl CB on the 2005 team isn't as good as Hall. What do you have to say about his play today? You also don't realize the passing defense is directly correlated to the D-line, yet you choose to ignore those facts. All I can say is I hope this is the worst game the Bengals have all year. Our division isn't very good so they should do better. The Steelers looked horrible today. If Marvin would be sick for the next month or so that would be a good start to improving the team lol
September 8, 201313 yr National analyst are wrong all the time. True however most people on this site are Bengal fans correct? Which we have seen most people on here have a lot of bias in these opinions. Either they are so use to losing their bias does not let them see this team realistically. As seen the last two years when the team has proved most of those people wrong the last two years. Then if you have a good opinion on them people say your looking through Orange shaded glasses. So the only ones who don't have a bias is the national experts and they even call this one of and most likely they most talented then in the league. So makes it very relevant to bring up in these discussions.
September 8, 201313 yr Author Time for some entertainment, I'm gonna cruise to the Bengals MB and see how the homers are reacting.

You also don't realize the passing defense is directly correlated to the D-line, yet you choose to ignore those facts. Yes because that pro bowl corner got beat on most plays that season too. You can suck every play of a season as a corner but if you happen to find 8 plays where you actually do well and happen to get a pick on those plays you will be a pro bowler because of your total of interceptions even if you sucked all the other plays. And your right as with most secondary. If you don't have a pass rush your secondary will look bad unless you have shut down corners.

September 8, 201313 yr Bengals fans start out on the precipice. The epic implosion we just witnessed is all it takes to send them over the edge. Shouldn't red fans start out like that too? The reds haven't done anything in a long time and actually been very Bengal like. Having hard time beating good teams and finding epic ways to blow things like last year's playoff series. So seems both should feel the same way. Hopefully one if not both can change that this year. The reds will get the first crack at changing that, and I hope
September 8, 201313 yr There is nothing embarrassing about losing the game to the Bears. The way they lost it is totally embarrassing. Exactly, disorganization and sloppy play. Just leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
September 8, 201313 yr The so called unbiased experts also had the Bengals picked to win this game. Very true. However you act like what I say is not realistic and just bias. So showing you most people have that same opinion so it's not just bias. The bias may be in more of your direction This Pittsburgh game almost becomes a must win I admit. It's a tough schedule to start the year and this lost did hurt.

I think some Reds fans get antsy early in the year when things aren't going well. I really haven't put much thought into that as this the NFL forum and we are talking about the Bengals.
September 8, 201313 yr The so called unbiased experts also had the Bengals picked to win this game. Weren't the Gals getting points?
