The scoreboard will be going crazy!

35- 24. The purples don't get a chance to score a lot of points due to the T.O.P. by the tigers led by the three headed monster. We won't see nearly as many passes as we did tonight vs lex cath.

Definitely has to be an advantage for St X playing their game today and BG not imo.

 

Different story if this is wk 6 on but this is early and important.

 

Got to go with the Tigers because of the off-killtered schedule this week for BG.

Same could be said about St X by playing on Sun and having to come back on short notice but I would rather be playing then sitting...

 

Any good coach will tell you he is a creature of habit and they ain't no habit going on this wk for either team...Should be interesting

Flip side of the coin for "Bowling Green misses out on a game" arguments-- Bowling Green isn't going to be banged up & St. Xavier also has one less tape to study.

BG is the better team and will win. You can try to rationalize arguments for X all you want, but it's just easier to accept your fate.

Good points. I just got a real bad feeling for BG in this one in light of the recent scheduling events.

 

BG may very well be the better team but if X wins this one will the BG faithful be asking questions???

Agreed, and I think it's a fair point. Losing a tune up game at this point in the season is big, and could change what the outcome would have been otherwise, but we'll never know.

 

I do think that regardless of who wins this one, the outcome could be different if they played much later in the year.

And our starters scored 2 more yes and yours 0. Most if not all three of your offensive tds were on 3rd and long bombs. Lex catch wasn't orchestrating drives not stopping X, so moot point. Percell also didn't play.

Not at all. They should still win state and that is all that matters.

 

 

Plus St. X is a high quality opponent. If BG gets blown out then maybe ask questions. If they lose respectably then I won't ask a thing. Leave it in the field.

The faithful will be supporting their coach and team. Win or lose. Bowling Green is playing an exciting brand of football right now and will still be undefeated at the end of the season. Come watch them play Friday Night at St. X.

St X certainly can't afford to take there foot off the pedal against the Purples. I think B.Green is a lot more explosive than Lex Cath, who, as most have stated on here, made big plays against the Tiger D. Plus, BGs D is much better than LCs. The one advantage for X is home field, but, it won't be enough. St X is too one dimensional and typically loses when faced with an opponent of equal talent. I like the Purples by 10 or more.
