Good point, I should never compare any St.X player to a Fiat, except maybe the QB from 2010. A tricked out Focus ST is probably more accurate. :) That aside I have watched the X kids play and Ferby and unless they look worlds better than last time I saw them they aren't as good as he is from what I have seen. It has been a long time since I watched a RB truck T defenders the way he did, frankly I am not sure if I have seen it like that since Shelton in '99. Don't get me wrong, these guys from X may be good, but I doubt they will be in his league when I see them.

So you believe ferby would've trucked the defenders from last year the same way? But based on the recruiting sites, the X backs are obviously in his class.

I also recall the lone td X scored in the first matchup last season. Davis "trucked" both Bertram and Jordan and broke another tackle from one of T's secondary defenders then rumbled into the end zone.

More lumps and bumps to come for the ROCKs for sure with the schedule looming. Still I'm OK with learning about the teams weaknesses instead of pounding a local school. The coaches will make season long adjustments and be ready for Phase III when it rolls around. As a side note the Ensworth's running game was spearheaded by their "pulling" center which is quite a talent for that position. I have not seen such skill at doing that since a kid for Trinity did it a few years back. I think his number was #55.

I was impressed by Ensworth's entire offensive line but you are correct, the center was impressive.

And I remember the '94 state championship team getting absolutely PASTED by Indianapolis Ben Davis.
Hold on now......we played Ben Davis very well....'95? not so much....

Whenever I want to read about X all I have to do is click on a Trinity thread.

We don't speak of 1995.

Whenever I want to read about X all I have to do is click on a Trinity thread.

The same goes for T and H In any other thread.

Nice spin. But I see you guys are still posting in a T thread.

I don't think anyone on that schedule is going to "punish" or "bully" St. X

It's a stone cold lock that three teams on the 2013 schedule will punish, bully and maul X: (1) Trinity, (2) Archbishop Moeller and (3) St. Xavier. With respect to the Trinity "bully", let's keep this simple:

1. 2011: The "bully" one-hand pushed X to the ground.

2. 2012: The "bully" kicked sand in the face of X.

3. 2013: The "bully" is hungry and now he's coming for your lunch money.

Honestly the gap between St. X and elite football teams is huge; let's use Ensworth as an example. How many players from X start on the Ensworth team we saw on Friday? Answer is 0. How many players for Ensworth start for Booker T. Washington (Miami, FL)? Answer is 0.

Where was this X toughness when Byrnes (Duncan, SC) came to Louisville two seasons ago looking for a fight? Call it what it is...X opted out and still took an L to Riverdale (Murfreesboro, TN).

Are you serious? Riverdale was a top 100 opponent when they played X if you didn't know. 15-14, 34-27 are not "huge gaps". Also in 2011, X beat their "elite" counterpart from Cincy. But instead of entertaining this with a long paragraph I'll say can't wait. :walk:
