That is not fair to blame Rick Thompson for this loss. Many people have been very high on the new coach and all he brings. If I am not mistaken Cov Cath scored 48 points. There is some responsibility for this loss on defense. The former coach and the former staff have no responsibility for this loss.

Boone is in complete rebuild mode. The Rebels were dominated on both lines of scrimmage.

 

CovCath better shore up the pass defense. Boone had receivers open multiple times that could spell trouble with a more accurate passing qb.

I understand that losing your QB, in a new offense really puts you behind the 8 ball. I was only half kidding about going back to the old offense, but unless this was just a terrible aberration they don't have the QB to run the offense the tried tonight. They also didn't do the QB any favors by continuing to roll him to the right and forcing him to throw across his body. Hopefully they can re-group, but if not it's hard to find a win on the schedule.

I said in part and I said hangover. I am not blaming Rick Thompson but the lack of QB development definitely plays into the current Boone team.

Don't think I've ever seen a Boone team this small. The Hauck glory years are a distant memory.

That was my q all night to my buddies. Why roll him to his opposite side I don't get. His throws were atrocious that way.

 

I think big picture CCH can be better this year vs last year, they just didn't learn much tonight though.

Hard to stop a team from scoring half a dozen times when you have to keep giving the ball back to them, often times with good field position for the opposition too.

Coach Griffith probably had a good inkling as to the outcome of this game prior to kickoff. I did and I don't see either team like he does.

 

You can't just turn a player into a QB. Takes time.
