And the new Batman is...

Zero . Lost interest a long time ago.
I had the same opinion, until my son talked me into watching the most recent one. I ended up loving it, and checked out the first two parts of the trilogy and loved them too.

Have to agree with RP here and add some, Keaton and Nicholson were the best. They should go with a some what unknown instead of DareDevil(one of the worst movies of all-time, followed closely by his wife's Electra)Affleck. I cannot stand Bale and his Eastwood voice imitation. Really since the first Batman, have barely followed the series, haven't seen the last one.

I have never understood why all the Batman voices go from normal to Clint Eastwood style. Is that part of the schtick?

Does this mean Matt Damon is Robin?

Obviously a lot of complaints on Affleck, but I still say 80% of those still see the movie.

How will he turn it into a love story ?

How will he turn it into a love story ?

I personally like this casting. Sure, he wasn't the best in Daredevil, but when you have a bad director and a bad script you're bound to have a stinker. That was also 10 years ago when he was making movies like Gigli, Jersey Girl, Pearl Harbor, and Reindeer Games. In the last 3 years he has been in The Town (Great accomplishment as a co-writer, directer, star), Argo (More of a directorial accomplishment, but still solid as the star), and To the Wonder (A Terrence Malick art movie). One of the main complaints with him seems to be that he is "to soft" or "doesn't have that edge" that Christian Bale had. I think Affleck has shown versatility over his career. He's been in comedies (Mallrats, Dogma, Chasing Amy, and Extract), Action Movies (Armageddon), Thrillers (The Town), and Oscar Winning Dramas (Argo, Good Will Hunting). Didn't the public think the same thing when Michael Keaton was cast? They said he could only do comedy well. Fans were also not happy when Christian Bale and Heath Ledger were cast. The point i'm trying to make is that he might not look like the best choice right now, considering his past in super-hero movies, but give him a chance. Wait till the movie comes out or at least the first trailer before we all say it was a bad move. While Ben Affleck is a great director, he is also a great actor.

Affleck is a really good actor. I didn't think so at one time, but he gets the job done. The Town is one of my top 10 favorites.

"Allegedly, your situation, for you, would be concurrently improved if I had 200 dallahs in my back pocket right now."

Batman, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises are all very good movies.

Batman Returns is ahhhh.

The rest are crap.....as this one will be.

Anyone care to offer some ideas about how Bruce Wayne would sound if he grew up in Beantown?

:lol2:

That's funny because that's been my biggest concern since this was announced. Then I got to thinking about how he talked in The Town and thought about how weird Batman would sound in that deep, dark voice if he talked like a southy.
