I don't know too many folks in the Fort, but have been pretty good friends with Frank and David Gross (insurance guys) for many a year.

Here's hoping that everything turns out ok.

The news was reporting a few minutes ago that the shooter is still at large but police are telling local businesses that the situation has been resolved and everything is safe.

Saw a report that said a man came into his wife's office and shot her and that the police had the suspect in custody.

Mrs. TAC in the area. They are re-routing all traffic around there.

Per Alison Montoya @ WLWT Channel 5:

"Attempted murder suicide at a medical building in Fort Thomas at 20 North Grand. Police: man went into building looking for his soon to be ex wife. Shot her several times then killed himself. Woman's condition is not known."

Very sad situation. I hope this couple does not have children.

It was a domestic situation. The husband chased the wife into the building and shot her multiple times. He then killed himself. She is being treated at UC Medical Center. Apparently, they were in the midst of a divorce. The woman's name is Alecia Waters from Florence. She works on the building as a receptionist. She was shot four times and is now in surgery.

Good Lord. Hoping she's ok and no one else was injured.

Fortunately. That was the extent of the incident, according to police.

Crazy, I know some people that work in those buildings. Hope she is OK.

Victim's name is Alecia Waters. She was shot 4 times. Hope she makes it. As far as the dead husband....good riddance.

The woman had filed for a protective order. The request was denied.
