August 13, 201313 yr I. Love. Twitter. @PretendLouHoltz: At leash Johnny Manshiel didn't have a prethend girlfrienth. :lol2::lol2:
August 13, 201313 yr Not Jerry Tipton @NotJerryTipton More trouble for Manziel. The last person who made such a huge mistake giving his autograph was Shabazz, when he signed his LOI with UCLA.
August 13, 201313 yr He's done. I bet he focuses on the draft and becomes a 2nd or 3rd round pick and eventually everyone will get tired of hearing about him because you know every move he makes will be beat to death. It is a dumb rule. You should be able to make money signing your autograph, especially when you know the person you signed it for will make money for it.
August 13, 201313 yr If they do not suspend him, every single college player should sign for money. There's plenty of broke ones who need a car, not new rims for their Mercedes.
August 13, 201313 yr If they do not suspend him, every single college player should sign for money. There's plenty of broke ones who need a car, not new rims for their Mercedes. To me what makes the situation so perplexing is that he can easily afford new rims. His family are millionaires, flying private everywhere. In my Freudian opinion he subconsciously was doing all of this as a cry out for help. Now what that cry is all about, I have no idea. You got money all around you, star football player coming off a Heisman season, one would think you would have it all. But we know the old adage "money can't buy everything (or happiness)". Dude may just be depressed and suppressing a lot of anger? Many have no clue how to deal with fame. There is a reason the bulk of pro athletes go broke at some point.
August 13, 201313 yr You have to wonder if A&M is going to strike first and suspend Manziel if it looks like the writing is on the wall for him.
August 13, 201313 yr You have to wonder if A&M is going to strike first and suspend Manziel if it looks like the writing is on the wall for him. If he plays one down of football this season, the NCAA can NEVER suspend anybody for signing autographs. Ever.
August 13, 201313 yr You have to wonder if A&M is going to strike first and suspend Manziel if it looks like the writing is on the wall for him. They have been "advised" not to play him.
August 14, 201313 yr I just can't wait to see how this plays out. IMO the NCAA has backed themselves in a corner with this. If they don't suspend him then how can they really suspend any player going forward, or if they do suspend him to what extent will it be, or how do they justify the suspension?
August 14, 201313 yr Money could definitely buy me happiness. :lol2: "Money can't buy happiness... but it sure can rent it awhile". A friend of mine quoted that and it stuck with me.

Mmmm.... probably like they did Lance Thomas and his jewelry collection? Maybe the Corey Maggette route if they wanted another option though.
August 14, 201313 yr IMO, the biggest issue here is the pending litigation and the court of public opinion. It's one thing that the NCAA may suspend him, but they're in the midst of a major suit with Ed O'Bannon & Co. at the moment, so PR wise, it may be easier to just cut bait and give a punishment that's lip service to the process.
August 14, 201313 yr "Money can't buy happiness... but it sure can rent it awhile". A friend of mine quoted that and it stuck with me. One of my favorites is: "Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy stuff. Stuff makes people happy." :lol2:
August 14, 201313 yr If the NCAA sanctions him as the 2nd professional athlete, then as most said the flood gate is open for anyone to sign as long as no money was seen at the signing. All athletes eyes are on the NCAA.
