Montgomery's new Coach

How would the 10th Region fans evaluate the teams in terms of strengths & weaknesses?

For example, Augusta's strength (IMO) will undoubtedly be its back court, perhaps the best in the Region. Its front court, however, is an entirely different story. I also wonder if depth will be an issue for Coach Hinson's team.

Conversely, Mason County's front court will be one of the best, but the back court seems spotty. Brossart's front court will be the 10th's best IMO, but I have some questions about the guards (although I liked the Jennings kid last year).

Of the major contenders, Montgomery County & Campbell seem to be the most balanced teams. I haven't studied Harrison County enough to properly evaluate them. They had really good depth last year & return a top performer in Pulliam.

Maybe goldie can help us with GRC & I gotta go to work with Scott.

For the first time I can remember in a long time, GRC will return every starter. Khmarkis Blanton could be the best big man in the region. GRC will be small again, maybe the overall smallest lineup in the region. I will put GRC up there as one of the best defensive teams in the 10th. GRC needs to really improve on the offensive end.

Who does everyone see as the best offensive team in the region?

I would guess Montgomery County.

My guess would be MoCo, Campbell, Brossart, then Mason.

Top 5 Coaches

1. Chris O' Hearn-minus two games against Augusta where I didn't understand his coaching decisions whatsoever

2. Mike Code

3. Jason Hinson

4. (Tie)-Brad Carr/Scott Humphrey-I guess, seems as though they underacheive with the size of their schools

5. Everyone else

Montgomery's new coach has a pretty strong résumé...

From the courier journal

Holland went 92-38 in four seasons at Oldham County, winning a pair of Eighth Region titles. His best season was in 2011-12, when the Colonels finished 31-6 and reached the Sweet 16 semifinals.

Blake Schneider is NOT a top 10 player in the 10th region. He didnt even play (much) varsity last year. I understand if you know the kid and want to get him some pub, but give us your legit top 10 and then throw him in as a sleeper. Good kid (from what I've seen/heard, and good soccer player), but Darion Burns, Dre Jackson, and Matt Wilson are all better players/prospects. Schneider has a lot of work to do before earning his way on to this list.

I see a lot of Dre Jackson posts... I honestly didn't see him do much for the Camels last year. Atleast nothing to really impress me.

I like the Camels ( big surprise  ) The Camels are young. They should have a deep bench as well.

The Camels got acclimated to playing without Nate for much of last season. Should help them this time around.

Good call. :thumb:
