July 4, 201313 yr ^ I disagree......it has really become a battle cry for an entire fan base.....really putting the school first and foremost over the athlete. I find it quite unique in what it's accomplished. I imagine you are a UK fan......forgive me, if I don't credit your opinion, regarding, "stupid" monikers when it comes to U of L.... #potmeetkettle
July 4, 201313 yr I'm an unabashed UK fan and can't really root for the Cards in anything (sorry), but I like L1C4 and what it stands for. Jurich has done an incredible job. And additionally isn't UK vs UL more fun when they are both at their best?
July 4, 201313 yr Very impressed by what UL has done. If its what gets them going then good for them. I still think its stupid. No matter what the significance is I still think it will be stupid and always will be stupid. I am a UK fan and also hate the whole BBN thing. Guess I'm a negative Nancy

July 23, 201313 yr ..........I'm not a Louisville fan by any means, but I think L1C4 is and has been a great way to bond an athletic department with a fan base and a city. Plus, athletes (not just in the revenue generating sports, but all of them) love catchy little things like this that bind them. I know a former baseball player and women's LAX player from UL and both have L1C4 tattooed on a part of their body. Reading the story was a great reminder about how far UL has come in 16 years....like them or not, it is very impressive. Side-note: Jason Belzer is one of the most deplorable people you'd ever meet.
