It's now legal to follow suspicious people around and chase them through the streets. Once you finally catch them or they get tired of running and turn to defend themselves without a weapon, you can then pull out your CDW and shoot them dead. GZ should have simply left the police work to the police. Now if the verdict is Not Guilty, that police force will really have to do some work because of one over zealous neighborhood watchdog. (Observe and report does not mean pursue)

I'm not the defendant in a murder trial but I bet if I was and it was proven that I had lied I bet my integrity would be called into question and then Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would have to come to my defense.

I am a bit shy of all of the story but in listening in to parts of the chief's story I gathered that the city manager got Trayvon's family together in a room and played the tape at which point they all decided it was Trayvon. The chief said it was against his wishes and said that you have to have them listen individually or they are all influenced by each other. Seems to be an attempt to discredit their testimony that it was Trayvon yelling for help.

Had GZ not been so offensive and chasing TM around, he never would have had to be defensive. JMO.. Maybe he'll beat the murder 2, but get manslaughter. If he gets nothing, he'll have to fear for his life forever. Someone will hunt him down, follow him around until he reaches for his weapon, but beat him to the trigger and then they can claim it was self-defense.

Point is they do not know. Neither side can say with any certainty who the voice is so it really is irrelevant. To me it is an irrelevant point unless the prosecution is trying to make the argument that Zimmerman was on top beating the crap out of him. From what has been presented that does not seem to be the case. If that is what they are going with they have no shot in hell of winning the case. Am I looking at that right or am I missing something?

Of course they can. Just depends on what side you are on. If you want to believe the stories of a proven liar then that's what you are going to believe. I normally don't believe proven liars. Just the way I operate.

Doubtful, when it comes down to it those making the most noise will move on to the next publicity opportunity. I do agree that he will be harassed for a while if he gets off completely.

Not so sure if the media can be blamed. When the story broke GZ was a white guy. Plain and simple. Whites didn't want to claim him as theirs at the beginning because the story initially made GZ look guilty as sin so he became Hispanic once it was known he had a Hispanic mom. After the story unfolded and GZ looked less guilty whites felt comfortable taking him back but the Hispanics said NOOOOO he's ours so in a compromise GZ became white-Hispanic.
