    • No, he hasn't played enough games yet and that isn't the way you pick the team.

Even the month of June alone Jay Bruce has more total bases, more runs, more HR, and more RBI.

AVGJoe getting slapped with a dose of reality. He needs to stop watching so much ESPN.

Yep. Didn't include him, only because I didn't want to be called a homer.

Yes Bruce is on fire!!!

I'm still trying to figure out why a hot 20 game stretch is more important than an entire half season of production?

Yep because he got suspended, and also hurt in the big brawl. How many other players can say they did that in their 1st month?

He was not suspended and he didn't miss a game after the brawl due to injury...

My mistake on the suspension.

What about the injury because his didn't miss a game.

June 11: Brawl

June 12: Played

June 13: Off Day

Either that or they didn't want him out there to get hit in the head again. Not saying he wasn't hurt, I truly don't know just speculating a reason.

AJG, I assume you also think Curtis Granderson and Derek Jeter should be on the AL All Star team this year? I mean, they're clearly two of the best at their positions, so them on the team would give the AL the best chance of winning, right?

Jeter MIGHT have been deserving of the All-Star team if he had played, but Granderson? Who considers Granderson one of the best players at his position?

Yes, I've seen him play 6 or 7 times. He's played like 20 games. Stop with the outlandish comparisons. He'll be lucky to be half the player Jr. was.

Justin Upton

Bryce Harper

Dom Brown

Giancarlo Stanton

Jay Bruce

Carlos Beltran

Matt Holiday

Ryan Braun

Carlos Gomez

Hunter Pence

Matt Kemp

Carlos Gonzalez

Michael Cuddyer

Dexter Fowler

Everyone of those guys is better than Puig right now.

So he's the 2nd best OF'er on the Dodgers, a 10 game under .500 team. What does that have to do with anything?

So do you watch games on a split screen? You seem to always be watching the Reds games. Normally I wouldn't have seen him play much but I've spent most of the month in Decatur, Ill with work and there's a B-Dubs right next to the hotel and one of the bartenders is a Dodgers fan. I've watched him play about 7 whole games along with several highlights. He's got as much physical talent as any player I've seen come into the league in a long, long time. A player with his athleticism wouldn't have been playing baseball if he'd have grown up in the US, he'd have been in the NFL.

As for being the 2nd best OF'er on the Dodgers--I'm not convinced he's not the best. He's already outhomered the other 3 and with the way he's producing he'll be 2nd in RBIs in another week, in a lot less games.

You need to go back and re-read Reds threads it sounds like. I'm almost never posting during games, unless they're day games, because I'm rarely on a computer outside of work.

As to the bolded, do you get all your talking points from Cowherd?

No one actually believes he's better than Kemp. That's almost as ridiculous as the Griffey Jr. comparison.
