What school has the biggest following for an away game?

Featured Replies

Must have been a tiny crowd for the game, then, as many on the X side were surprised at how poorly Highlands traveled. With such tradition, a much larger crowd was expcted to travel down I-71.

I was at that game and sat on the visitors side simply because of all the extra space. I was very disappointed in HHS' fan travel. I expected a full house. As it is the game was only marginally closer than the one I missed to attend.

Does X have a larger enrollment this year than T? I believe T had the larger enrollment a year or two ago. Anyone with updated numbers for these two schools?

Re: your earlier mention of posts asserting that all male schools travel better than mixed schools-other than prior post speculations, has anyone come across any numbers to back this up? For example, does DeSales (3A all male) travel better than other 3As?

DeSales is 2A. :thumb:

I've never know HHS to have a major following. When you go to one of their home playoff games they usually draw from all over the NKY area. It seemed like LexCath had more fans during the playoff game this year.

I beleive enrollemnt is really close between the two this year. Both are right at 1400 plus or minus five to ten kids I believe. If an Xavieran student/parent/alumnus can confirm if I am correct about X's enrollment.

I would not be surprised if over the next five years, both schools enrollments are within 20 students of each other. Competition for students will remain intense for the forseeable future.

1407 was the last number I heard at St. X.

Henderson Co brings a good crowd, not bad for a town of 25,000. Henderson Co may have 2000 kids, but u figure close to half are girls.

Wasn't it due to the fact that Desales brought their band the Highlands band had to play after the game? Hey, it's OUR field and I think OUR band should play at half time. :fire:

HENRY! Where are your manners? They were our guests!

While I know it isn't the largest, X and Trinity get those honors. In the last 7 or 8 years anytime Manual plays in the east end they've had standing room only road crowds.
