Patience, patience, patience! Lets see how they perform this year, their 9th grade year, before we start to worry about their 10th grade season!

 

Remember games are won now and not once the season starts. Work hard each day at WTS or practice, get along and support your teammates, give 200% of yourself not only in games but at practice and if your a parent, support him by making sure he hydrate himself and eats properly each and ever day!

 

Going to be fun at each and every level your Frosh plays at during the next four years and these upcoming four years will just fly by and if you don't thinks so, ask any of the just graduated senior or their parents how fast their four years went by!

What information do you have on Alex shelton? Where did he play last year and what position. I was told this freshman class might be the best freshman class ever at Cov Cath. They have a few players coming from Boone county area that is suppose to be good.

Gee, these Freddie's haven't played a single game yet but your saying they might be the best ever? Lets wait might we before we crown them the best until they play a game or two.

 

BTW there have been some pretty good Freddie's teams at CovCath over close to the last 50 years, so again lets just wait and see!

Alex played in the Colonel Youth Football league 7th and 8th grade. Not sure before that.

I agree on the "best ever" talk. Give them some time. The results will speak for themselves. There are a core group of 10-12 very talented boys who, if they stick together, have a chance to bring everyone else together and do some special things in football.

There have been some key kids coming out of Boone Co the last 4-5 years down to Cov Cath. to be sure.

In all fairness, this thread is suppose to be about the Varsity team. Those Seniors, Juniors and some Sophomores who have worked hard, very hard to be where they are and should be the ones who get mentioned in this thread.

 

The Freddie's turn will come but in this thread at least, lets divert our attention to players like

 

Sam Burchell not only a great and outstanding football player but student also! Freshmen parents if you want a roll model for your sons to follow, might I suggest you have them follow Sam not only on the gridiron but more importantly in the class room!

 

Christian Stewart huge lovable kid who is the gentle giant, until that is he puts on his football gear on. Great kid even a better student!

 

Luke Bir and Sam Dressman who will lead this team on the ground and who would just as soon run you over, than run around you. Tough, tough kids who have each battled injuries but continue to give it their all.

 

And the DB group of Coach Bailey, Fischer, Way and Oberhausen to name just a few, you really would be smart, to not throw at them!

Alex played for the CYF and was started both ways as a wide receiver and linebacker. He aslo played a large role in special teams, being an exceptional longsnapper. He led the way with vonhandorf. Shelton probably is the biggest leader in this upcoming class. He keeps everyone motivated and keeps them out of trouble. He has been practicing with varsity This summer, working at linebacker position.

 

Now about the best ever, I would agree that they have the potential, talent, and leadership to be great. They have to get a few game under their belt before we start grading them. I am excited to see ten play and can't wait to see them play as they progress

Shelton, vonhandorf , best, theil, Kuhr, ziegelmeyer, pilger. Also they have Brent angel coming in from Ryle, he is a great athlete but needs to stay out of trouble. And he will have a great career at cch.

What about a guy by the last name or Morgan? I heard he was headed to Cov Cath

I sure hope so! But I agree with the rest, let them play their 9th grade season(AND BEAT HIGHLANDS) before we talk "best ever".

Guess its no secret that the family has been looking around. I doubt he lands at CCH.
