Who ever voted for Beechwood, Holy Cross, or Ludlow is in a dream state. Beechwood & HC are not going to make it out of the district, which means you can't win the region.

And it is a dream that I will cling to for as long as I'm aloud to have a place on this earth. I have a dream that one day little boys and girls from Ludlow will one day fill Rupp Arena cheering and chanting as my beloved Panthers take the floor to the sounds of the Ludlow Pep Band and being Led onto the floor by the most attractive cheerleaders in the entire state. If and when that moment ever takes place then quite honestly that will be the greatest moment in my rather dull little life. When it's over I will be ready to meet my maker so if you have no other reason to cheer for the Panthers I would think many of you would find that to be reason enough to pull for them. Yes I have a dream.

No Lloyd mention? JK I really wish my Lloyd boys would get on track. I think they have decent talent, and they play their butts off, it just seems like they're always over-matched. It's a shame.

come on now....they are injured and have no guards....you cant win a tournament without good guard play, period. That is why HHS and Holmes will be in a dogfight for the crown...oh, cch will be there as well, Teirney and jacobs are two of the finest and their big men are starting to step up.

Brother, if that happens I'll be there waving the red and black.

Hey Zig, how did you vote twice? HaHa. Maybe Fireplug was in here also.

The time is now, because when your 8th grade boys only get 3 hours a week of gym time, the future doesn't look to promising!!

I wish they would get on track aswell. When you only have 6 true varsity players, it makes the situation real tough. Barring kids quiting like this year  give the Juggernauts two years and they will be competitive!!! I will go with the Bluebirds!!!

Looks like a toss up! :jump: Highlands - Holmes :jump:

Funny to see how serious this is really taken. Newport, Boone, Ludlow, Beechwood all get votes but NCC doesn't and NCC just won the All A. If they get momentum going I wouldn't want to play them in the tourny.

Im not saying they will win it. I'm just saying they are getting back on track. A good defensive team. Good 3pt shooting team. Good big man. They can cause alot a problems for some of the better teams in the 9th.

It is possible with a bad draw that NCC doesn't even make the regional tournament. Newport, Bellevue and Dayton still vote against seeding in that district meaning a bad draw could put NCC and Newport out. Assuming that is that HHS wins.

I agree with the coaches and the seeding situation....its a chance for a small school like Bellevue to squeak into the REgional tournament by winning one District game. When I played, we got to the Regional tournament my Soph and Senior year....got the great draw ....beat Dayton and then lost to NCC in finals my Soph year..only to go out to Conner and get manhandled by CCH. But my Senior year we beat NCC in district opener up on the hill in a hostile environment to advance and face the Holmes bulldogs in the final....another drubbing.... but when we got to the REgion... we played a Chris Haynes led Scott team who didnt show up that night.... problem was, we didnt either... the Holmes gym was intimidating for us and we ended up losing by 10 or 12 I think....we were ice cold shooting. Scott went on to Beat the Holy Cross Indians in the final that year....89'

Holmes, Highlands, and Newport seems to have the better athletes, but you have to give the edge to the Bluebirds, they have the better coaching and the more controled players.

Maybe I did vote twice. Maybe I'm on here under 2 different usernames..

:thumb: I feel a ground swell of support taking place for the Panthers. Anyone else want to jump on the Bandwagon..?

:sssh: What do we have here? Someone with a little inside Ludlow knowledge. Sometimes it's not the length of the practice but the quality of the practice that is most important. As far as I know the practice for all middle school teams has remained pretty consistent over the last decade and during that time Ludlow has had several very good seasons for a school their size.
