come on now....they are injured and have no guards....you cant win a tournament without good guard play, period. That is why HHS and Holmes will be in a dogfight for the crown...oh, cch will be there as well, Teirney and jacobs are two of the finest and their big men are starting to step up.

I am assuming you missed the JK after my initial sentence. That stands for Just Kidding. It was in jest, my friend.

I wish they would get on track aswell. When you only have 6 true varsity players, it makes the situation real tough. Barring kids quiting like this year  give the Juggernauts two years and they will be competitive!!! I will go with the Bluebirds!!!

I would love for that to be the case. As it stands, they are dressing about 5 Freshman...and some of these kids actually get Varsity playing time when they have no business being on the floor. Not the kids or the coach's fault. After kids quit and others were injured, they weren't left with a lot of choices.

I am sitting here looking at teams receiving votes, and I can't seem to figure why the Crusaders can't even get a sniff. There are numerous threads on here about who is the best coach and these teams will do this because of coaching. St. Henry ought to atleast get 5 votes because of coaching. Everyone keeps talking about the top 3 teams in our region and how coaching will prevail. The fact of the matter is if you don't have the horses you can't get it done. The Crusaders are a perfect example of that. If they get out of the 33rd all they need to do is win 3 games. I don't think they will, but they are arguably under the highest quality of leadership in the region, and I wouldn't want to play them.

And it is a dream that I will cling to for as long as I'm aloud to have a place on this earth. I have a dream that one day little boys and girls from Ludlow will one day fill Rupp Arena cheering and chanting as my beloved Panthers take the floor to the sounds of the Ludlow Pep Band and being Led onto the floor by the most attractive cheerleaders in the entire state. If and when that moment ever takes place then quite honestly that will be the greatest moment in my rather dull little life. When it's over I will be ready to meet my maker so if you have no other reason to cheer for the Panthers I would think many of you would find that to be reason enough to pull for them. Yes I have a dream.

Keep dreamin brother...thats a good thing, but the cheerleader part? Thats a stretch

sorry, missed your JK- not very IM savvy on the earlier message.....I think playing Freshman will be a benefit to the Juggs....who quit ? I havent seen the Evans kid name much...

I'm not saying Highlands isn't good, because they are. But have they had much serious competion this year?

No , Willie played a weak schedule this year. All this talk about Highlands having the better coaching staff. Holmes coach is no slouch.

IN a perfect world Hc beats beechwood here in a week or so and gives themselves the best shot of making regionals. I think CCH is a very winnable game for HC. I don't think CCH is in another bracket of teams than HC.

There is no question about leadership with the Cru but you still need to have a good amount of talent. St. Henry is capable of beating anyone in the region on a hot shooting night, but it takes more consistency to win three regional games in a row.

I'm sure the people in Ft. Mitchell have a different idea of "Utopia". :D

I agree Holmes has a good staff. I think Highlands tried to schedule some tougher games this year. They got into some tourneys down state and tried to challenge themselves. They play the top teams in our area, and they play Brossart. I'm sure they knew they would have a nice team, but at the same time they had a tough year last year. When you make that schedule that has to be taken into consideration.

I completely agree! Like I said you have to have the players to win. How far back can you remeber a team winning the region because of coaching alone. You have to have the players. That is the point I was trying to make. Alot of coaches get credit for being great, but look at the players they have.

Evans... QUIT  apparently that young man isn't a big fan of being disciplined!! Along with about 6 other players.

Stud this so called weak schedule talk is getting old. They have played E-Town, Layfayette, Cov-Cath, New-Cath and Scott all on the road. They still have 5 top 25 team yet to play this season. So if you say this along with only 5 home games is a weak schedule and then tell me way.

I'm the one that brought it up and my question really was, have they won any really challenging games? They lost to E-town and Lafayette. I know they have a challenging schedule ahead.
