Giancarlo Stanton to the Reds?

Featured Replies

The injury should be a bargain chip for the Reds, he's another away from the injury prone title before what 25? Then again... Should the Reds walk away?

With Stanton under team control until after the 2016 season the team that trades for him is not going to get a discount due to the hamstring. If the Marlins get lowballed they'll just trade him in the offseason.

If I had to pick a team to negotiate a trade against it would always be the Marlins. That organization has no clue on how to manage a baseball team.

Under control or not he's another injury or two away from the Reyes/Ramirez level and he's 23. Can't help ya if he's on the bench.

He played 150 games the season before last. His knee that was scoped last season has given him no more trouble. His hamstring is a totally different injury so he has no "chronic" problems that will scare anyone off. If you lowball a team on a player this talented because of 2 seperate injuries you won't be getting that player, simple as that. If he were a one year rental or 32 years old it would hurt his value, but not in this case.

Your prob right but 23, scope, strained intercostal muscle, hamstring, is scary to hear in any sentence form for a kid barely out of college age.

Strained intercostal is from swinging out of his shoes. Me likes.

Yup Sosa and Griffey did it right before they hung it up.

Stanton has been activated today....Wonder if his return will restart any talks...

Injured again huh...? I remember people debating me if he's injury prone or not. Sure is a lot of injuries for what a 23 year old.

I see that and I think PED's.

Umm not injured again. Activated to the active roster from an injury that was already discussed in this thread, by you included.

Big Mike hit a game winning bomb last night in his first action back from the DL.
