Chandler Parsons was better than Stoudamire, and he didn't miss 2/3 of the season injured. Parsons was the #2 option, and I'd obviously take Smith over him but Parsons was the more efficient scorer and wasn't prone to miserable cold spells. Shumpert is a very good defender, but only played in 45 games. The Knicks roster was VERY average this year, and yes a large part of that was numerous injuries that cost key guys big chunks of the season. The constant? Melo. He carried the team to the 2 seed. No way around it... I didn't say anything in regards to points. We both know stats never tell the full story. You just said yourself you would take smith over parsons, and regardless how many games they missed, I know harden would have loved to have them for that minute amount of times they would've been a tremendous upgrade to that rockets roster even if they only played 2 games.

His reasoning was as sound as it gets and there is still silly uproar over nothing... My uproar is with justifying how anything is more valuable to the league than Lebron.

May 7, 201313 yr Does Miami make the playoffs without Lebron? Does New York make the playoffs without Melo? The writers stance is more than justified. And I agree with the idea that "Most Valuable Player" and "Best Player in the League" are not necessarily the same.

Haven't seen a single person in this thread say that. All people have done is say they have no issue with him voting that way, and that he made a good argument for his vote.

I see your point but like Bugatti is saying there is a lot of subjectivity to the meaning of the award. I don't think there is any debate that Lebron is the best player in the NBA.
