Reds @ Nationals Series 4/25 thru 4/28/13

With the way they're playing now, I may look at the option of a strict RH/LH platoon of Heisey/Paul.

I'd give Heisey the job of keeping the pitchers seat warm while they are on the mound.

A K every 5 AB's isn't what you want from your lead off man. He still needs to improve a lot in that area IMO. His OBP is also terrible.

I wasn't saying it was good, but at this stage in his AAA career Im not too worried. You have to remember, as a Reds fan I'm conditioned to 200 strikeouts from the lead-off hitter

Heck Choo strikes out 1 in 5 at bats for his career.

Choo has an OBP of .386 for his career. He has a lot more pop than Hamilton ever will. With Hamilton's lack of extra-base power his game is going to be predicated on making contact. He can't afford to give up a quarter of his at bats to strikeouts like someone with more pop can.

Span 8, Lombo 5, Harper 7, Werth 9, LaRoche 3, Desmond 6, Espinosa 4, Suzuki 2, Zimmermann 1

Choo 8 Izturis 6 Votto 3 Phillips 4 Bruce 9 Frazier 5 Paul 7 Miller 2 Bailey 1

@Reds: Reds disable Manny Parra, reinstate from the DL Sean Marshall.”

Yeah ... Parra is definitely disabled ...

Reds go down in order in the 1st.

PITIFUL!!!

Thank Goodness they only gave up one run...

That is enough.

Zimmerman might be able to go 13 innings tonight the way this is going.
