Second Suspect in Boston Bombings CAPTURED

Featured Replies

Either way this is a great day. A BIG thank you to all the law enforcement officers that put in this tremendous amount of hours and work to capture this man. You cannot be commended enough for what you have done all week.

No Miranda Rights will be read. "Public Safety Exemption" to be invoked.

What does that mean? "Public Safety Exemption" that is.

I think it's awesome seeing all of these people standing outside cheering and applauding the law enforcement officers.

I'm a terrorist bleeding in your boat, and your cut-rate insurance could leave you with the bill. Save yourself from mayhem like me.

They take him alive. Now we will find everything out......doubtful. He will lawyer up and the taxpayers will foot the bill for a show trial followed by his martyrdom for life in prison.

I am sorry that suspect #2 didn't meet the same fate as suspect #1. When I heard reports that the boat was on fire....

My favorite scene from Saving Private Ryan....."DON'T SHOOT"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtQucipCzW8.

I sincerely hope not. Whatever the reason, the man is a citizen and he has certain unalienable rights that he is guaranteed by the constitution and law and this is one of them. This shouldn't be allowed if true.

Yea, I think it's quite possible people are using arrested incorrectly.

I think they have been throughout the past couple of days.

Some of the officers that were on duty last night but scheduled off tonight were on duty 20 straight hours. And if video is any indication the majority of it was spent on their feet either patrolling or standing a post. I heard that officers scheduled for tonight go to go home around 2 this after noon after working since beginning of shift last night.

Special Prayer and thanks for Each of these Men and Women. Now after all of this today they will now have to bury a brother sometime in the next few days.

The strength of the Miranda decision is its clarity in its nearly unwavering protection of a suspect's Fifth Amendment protection against selfincrimination. The commitment to this rule is so strong that the Supreme Court has recognized only one exception to the Miranda rule—the "public safety" exception—which permits law enforcement to engage in a limited and focused unwarned interrogation and allows the government to introduce the statement as direct evidence

Just a guess, but I'm assuming it's to find out if there are any more threats in the city at this point. Several bombs have been located in the city already...

Then you don't understand the investigative process.

Probably already a stampede of lawyers lining up to provide representation.

That will be the hardest part of it all, I'm sure.
