I would assume that side of 1A will be down, One notable loss for Hazard has to be Olinger who felt like he went there for 12 years. Depending on what Williamsburg brings back, I'm gonna say they probably make the trip to BG to the Mayfield invitational. Pikeville and Hazard may be in the mix though, Pikeville has a good young nucleus but may be a year away.

Did Williamsburg improve their schedule? If not, they will not be a serious threat in the post season and definitely can not be considered the team to beat.

I think it is Raceland, Fairview, and Hazard in that order. Williamsburg may well be the number four team. And, I agree Belfry, I think Pikeville will be good, still a year away though. Those five teams are the ones with a shot in my opinion.

I also think with what Williamsburg returns they would be on e of the favorites. I think they only lost a couple of linemen. I think the favorites would be Williamsburg or Raceland followed by Hazard. As for improving their schedule, I think that may come in to play somewhat but we hear every year how Beechwood plays a much better schedule and we know how that worked out. Same with Fairview last year, heard that alot and they marched into the title game. Schedule is important but I don't think its a must.

Williamburg may be the team to beat, I guess we will have to wait and see. With Fairview, it just depends on who shows up to play for them, and trust me, that is an unknown.

 

On the schedule, I don't think it is a strong determining factor, you have to have some that you are supposed to win, some that should be a challenge, and then the district schedule. I don't think you want to schedule all "super" teams, but I don't think it's a good idea to play all cupcakes either.

Not really. There's plenty of teams out there with no regional titles, even more with no state final appearances. I just don't see them being all that great this season. I think Williamsburg is the team to beat in the east.

All I'm saying is just because the haven't won one, you shouldn't rule them out..

I agree Raceland is good but not great no shot this team is better than 2008 team from people I've talked with. Most fans are rational but some are overbearing. I think Pikeville, Williamsburg will be very good with Hazard, Fairview, Raceland in the mix

With Hazard's district, they should have a chance every single year to advance to finals.....very weak district and class A has been weak for the last few years...
