While I am loathe to politicize it, if it is a right leaning home grown nut bar how long will it take for the lefties in the media to whitewash ALL right leaning groups as responsible? Before they do I want to point out that those same leftys were the ones so quick to point out that the head case in Ft. Hood didn't represent the beliefs of all Muslims. They were also the ones that painted ALL tea partiers as racists based on unsubstantiated claims of racist comments at tea party rallies. Will it bring about another call for the severe curtailing of talk radio?

 

If it turns out to be a Muslin group or some left leaning anarchist group will the leftys in the media condemn them?

So in other words, if I'm reading you correctly, you want media fairness in the event the culprit is someone who overdosed on right-wing radio -- which exists because we no longer have a Fairness Doctrine (or Equal Time Rule). Sounds fair to me.

I was getting ready to get on here and apologize for the political tone of my previous post but your post made me rethink that. The left is so quick to throw the word fair around so please define to me what exactly is fair? Talk radio exists as it is today because there is a audience for it. No audience no talk radio it's that simple. Air America crashed and burned because no one listened to it. Is that unfair.

 

And FWIW I've already heard people on the bastion of fairness that is MSNBC speculate that this was a right wing extremist based on the date.

If there is any group of people more paranoid with feelings of persecution than the conservative right, please point them out to me.

I met Mr Frank a few times at the DNC in 2008, nice guy, but a wacko! I don't even pay attention to what he says, there are those like him that are D's and R's, all the same, just wanting attention for the most part.

 

As I have said before, most people have no clue on how many potential attacks the US has stopped, it's mind blowing. But, we can't stop them all and eventually some will happen. Still not even close to some Euro and Middle-East countries.

 

But, some people want to whine and cry about being seached when the get on a plane, flying isn't a right, if you don't want to be searched then you don't fly. So, how can we stop "some" attacks? I say some as again, we can't stop them all.

I'm not too sure National Guard Troops could have stopped this. The people who did this seem to have worked in complete mystery and probably could have snuck their backpacks by any number of national guards.

Not saying they could/should have stopped it, but it's a good thing they were there to help deal with the aftermath.
