Russ Smith to the NBA?

Featured Replies

Chris Jones and/or Terry Rozier. I also imagine Kevin Ware will get some time there.

Forgot about Jones. He will likely step right in as the starter at point.

I would find it hard to believe that anyone could improve their draft status by coming back next year. There is just too many players in next years class with higher expectations that this years guys. Even Noel, who has a chance to go #1 this year, would almost certainly not go that high next year.

Come on back Russ scouts will still remember glimpses from 2012-13.

While I agree that Russ's size makes him suitable for PG, becoming a PG will take away his greatest attribute. Russ can do great things when he's being "Russdiculous." However, Louisville is screwed when you turn that into a PG. He isn't very good under ball pressure IMO, and he isn't a great facilitator. He almost had a 1:1 Assist to TO ratio. He's just not a PG.

All reasons why he needs to play it and do better to improve his draft status ... but that isn't going to happen as outlined in posts above.

Like Tony Delk? If he returns he will be in the same role.
