Cincy's Finest Market

Featured Replies

I had to go to Countryside Mall yesterday at lunch time to get some clothing. Since I was over that way, I stopped at the lone Skyline Chili in Tampa Bay, on US-19 just north of the Mall, to grab a 3 way before heading back to work. Haven't been there in a while and noticed a new business next to the Skyline called "Cincy's Finest Market".

I didn't have a lot of time so I just poked my head in and did a quick once over. You can get everything Cincinnati; Gleir’s Goetta, Montgomery Inn BBQ Sauce, Grippo’s Potato Chips, Queen City Metts, LaRosa's Pizza, Graters Ice Cream, ... ,etc. Turns out, the it just opened last February. I've never had Goetta or Queen City Metts.

I'm going back next week to shop.

Sounds terrible. People will think people from Cincy are rubes with bad taste in pizza, bbq and chips. At least they got the ice cream right.

You're off the Christmas list buddy!!

Sounds like time to move to Tampa! Great weather and Cincinnati food!

Just be advised, a mett in Cincinnati is a brat anywhere else. And a brat is not like anything you've ever seen.

I bet Swamp will love Goetta.

Thats pretty cool, hate to be without Grippo's

Really? I did not know that. :thumb:

Yeah, if you go to a cook-out around here and ask for a "brat," you'll probably get something that looks like this:

If you want the "Johnsonville brat" kind of thing, you have to ask for a mett. Don't ask me why...that's just the way we roll in Porkopolis! :idunno:

That looks kind of like knockwurst.

We'll find out Saturday morning. I picked up a pound today.

Got my sister a couple of bags of Grippo's BBQ Chips. She went nuts.

There is nothing in the Cincinnati, food related, that I would miss if I moved elsewhere. I like some of things mentioned previously, but could definitely live without them

I prefer Findlay Market myself but I'll have to check that out!

You're probably better off at Findlay's. The drive to Cincy's Finest from where you are is haul.

BTW, they've got Montgomery Inn ribs there. I thought they only had the sauce. However, I have several slabs of Skeeter's in the freezer and the price for the MI ribs are a bit steep, so I passed.

They've got a facebook page, if you want to know what the place looks like. Google search.
