Pac-12 head of officials investigated for targeting Arizona's Sean Miller

Maybe this could be a reason Doug Shows is incompetent

Wasn't Miller T'ed up rather quickly during the conference tourney?

I would be interested to see what goes on in Doug Shows mind as well. Something tells me that his mind isn't always clear! Or his pocketbook.....

Total bull

Yes

He was T'd up in the semifinals on a bad call that seemed to cost Arizona the game and Miller said he did nothing to even warrant it. The Pac 12 is trying to make this go away by coming out so quickly and saying it was a joke but ESPN is spending a lot of time talking about it, something is going to have to happen.

Can't believe Clyde ( A big Miller fan) hasn't weighed in on this story.

How can you say this was all in jest? Even if it was though still the intent was there to make sure Miller was called for a technical. Also the way officiating was this year makes you wonder how many people have been in their ear to have a game called for a certain result.

After hearing the PAC 12 commissioner talk about this makes me think he's in on it too. This is bad, only the tip of the iceberg

He will not be fired.

He will not be fired.

That's all you got? Why are you holding back?

The "appearance of impropriety" is just about as bad as actual impropriety.

He should be fired especially after Miller was fined 25k. Officials are overly protected. No accountability. I just don't understand why conference leaders continue to protect these guys. I still remember the crew that blew the calls in the Big East tournament a couple of years ago. They were taken of the rest of the tournament. However, one of them had the finals of the Big Ten tournament a day later. Really showed him.

He will not be fired.

That seemed to be what the head of the Pac-12 said today on ESPN. Said they looked into it. There was a general crack down on coaches and found no wrong-doing. They did indicate that in the future there should not even be comments 'in jest' (maybe paraphrasing there) about these matters. Sounded like he considered the matter closed.

ESPN asked how can Sean Miller ever not wonder about the calls after this as long as the guy is head of refs. The response was wishy-washy.

First, Ed Rush needs to be fired. Even if he was joking, you cannot as head of the officials encourage the officials to single out one coach for a T or ejection. The fact that it then happened on first, a bad call and then a very quick T when Miller did not deserve one looks VERY BAD. Rush has to go - even though he probably won't.

My question (and I have not seen it answered) is why would he single Miller out for the T? Miller is not known as a hot head to my knowledge or a coach that is constantly riding officials or trying to show them up. He is normally pretty calm when compared to many other coaches. He had not been T'd up the entire year before this game. I could understand it more if Rush joked about T'ing up Bob Huggins or Gary Williams or Bob Knight or other known ref abusers like that...but Sean Miller??
