This match-up will be the 1st game Tuesday night (Feb. 26th) at The Bank of Kentucky Center on the campus of NKU. Everyone knows how game one went down when these two "titans of the hardwood" did battle at the Fieldhouse back on Feb. 8th.

Bigger stage with much bigger consequences........What say you?

I'm still torn on this one as I'm a big fan of both teams. I think whoever wins this game goes on to win the region. I'll give my input tomorrow after I think about this match up a little more. Also going to watch the game film again tonight.

NCC's size will be too much for Holmes. Beuter will not be denied either as the Breds look to avenge 2 straight years of finishing runner up.

I expect a close low scoring game.

NCC 49

Holmes 45

Holmes will win the game the will play better and will pull off the close game 72 to 66

I think I had NCC to win the 9th in the Sweet 16 in November contest.

But I like Holmes in Round 2.

If Holmes can shot the ball well at the Bank then they will win. It is tough to adjust to shooting there so my pick is NCC. I am a 35th District fan so I hope I am wrong. Good luck to both teams as they are two classy teams who unfortunately must face off early.

I think this game will fail to live up to the first one, nor will it live up to the hype that will build towards Tuesday. I think the ultimate factor is NewCath's lack of depth, so I like the Dawgs by 7-10.

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing..........just because the bench doesn't score a bunch of points doesn't mean they lack depth, this is pure nonsense. :ohbrother:

Devoto and Dupont are both excellent ball-handlers. Devoto is without question the "toughest" kid on the team and plays solid "D" when called upon. Dupont is more than capable of putting the ball in the hoop. Weyer and Franzen are more than capable of providing "quality" minutes to give the "bigs" a break and if need be garner a bucket or two.

NCC's starting 5 have done an excellent job of staying out of foul trouble all year, I wouldnt expect them to start getting in trouble now. Devoto and Dupont can give quality minutes and they have shown they can get it done with the starting 5 playing 80% of the minutes anyway.

They just need to build a fence around Bolden and keep the Dogs off the offensive glass.

Weyer is a stud and is going to have an outstanding career.

Heck, you guys say you lost to CovCath because a guy turned his ankle and missed the last 13 minutes, even though you led when he went out. I'll use that as exhibit A in defending my post.

I think NewCath is awesome, have the best starting 5 in the region, and Grant is great -- but I think Holmes wins.

I never said any such thing. I simply stated two facts, that's all. Hell, I think the only reason the Breds lost that game was they were 0-11 from 3pt. land.

1-11 we win. :jump:

Didn't say you did, sorry LB13, have just seen it mentioned several times. Ironic that the Breds didn't make a 3, yet CovCath's back-up center hit one to in it. Funny game sometimes.....

Again, I think the Breds are great and have the most outstanding starting 5. They, Holmes, and CovCath (and Dixie, I think) will be awesome again next year.

No doubt NCC was a better team for 3 quarters of the last game and Seibert had a career game. His length bothered Bolden early in the game and he was money the whole game. Bolden had the best 4th quarter of basketball I have seen in a long while. With all that, I don't think either will duplicate, but if either does his team wins. Englemon has disappeared the last few games and if he does in this one, the bigs will have their way and NCC wins. If he plays the way he can, big IF, the 'dogs win. Still a tossup, but the eye test tells me NCC is a little better, but not significantly.
