Any truth to the rumor that Grant had to burn a timeout because the official scorer pointed out blood on a Grant player jersey?

HELL YES!!

Why does a coach throw a fit toward an official in a game they just won on a great shot? Did the Fleming Co/Lewis Co. game teach us anything?

 

So, I guess I wasn't imagining that! By the time I asked the guy next to me about it, the officials were already off the floor. But, I just can't imagine why he did that.

Congrats to SK, Coach Steiner and those boys! Great win!

You ever kept the scoreboard? Kept the official soring book? You ever done anything official for a high school game? Referee?

 

I have. It can be one of the most nerve racking things to do at a game. Had that scorekeeper not said anything about the blood on the uniform that could be seen as cheating by Simon Kenton. He also may not have even known that teams lose a timeout when the game is stopped because of blood on the uniform. I didn't until this game thread. It's sad that people volunteer their time and energy to make a game official and every move is scrutinized. I kept the clock for Boyle County last year and every mistake I made I was accused by the visiting team of doing it on purpose. The only thing I wanted to do on purpose in those situations was run up in the crowd and punch the whining fan in the jaw. Give the scorekeeper a break. He didn't break a rule.

My bad. I get sensitive when scorekeepers, official scorers, stat guys and sometimes refs are unfairly attacked.

 

Them dudes take abuse for unfair reasons way too much sometimes.

The 31st has had our number in the past.

I am going to stay with my original prediction that SK will make it to the 8th region championship game and have a good chance of winning.

I would love to see SK - Grant in the regional finals
