Walton is a small school that hasn't won anything on the boys side. Ever. No one expects them to win anything either. Pretty simple. The Walton fans expecting them to win a regional title every year or any year on the boys side are imo delusional.

Trame is an excellent coach. Walton isn't going to find better. I doubt anyone in the 8th is saying "when Walton finds the right coach, look out!"

Changes are coming and some people will still not be happy with them so they will just leave anyway....:idunno:

 

What kills me is some people always think they can do better. If they think they can do better, then why not apply for the job when it comes open. It is always easier to coach in the stands apparently.

As I recall, the last girls coach at WV, who was very successful, resigned citing stress concerns.

I have not idea why Coach Trame resigned. Everyone can speculate as to why but i am not going to. I wish him the best.

I think he's done enough that one loss won't sway their opinion...if indeed something like this is in the works.

Hate to see this, regardless of the reason. He is a great coach and even better person and role model. Good luck to him.

Why in the heck does WV think they should be better than they are? They have never been any good at anything and that is understandable. A small school out in the country. Every once in awhile they will have a slightly competitive team. Dan Trame is a great guy and a good basketball coach. Walton was lucky to have ever had him there coaching. A coach being under scrutiny at Walton, you have got to be kidding. They are lucky anyone wants to even coach there.

Coach Trame is an awesome coach and better person. Walton should take a good, long, hard look at what they are trying to accomplish because they took two steps back by firing Dan Trame.
