First question: Trinity is in a category with approximately 10 to 12 other teams ... that I consider to be a top program (Highlands, Mayfield, Beechwood, Cov Cath, St. Xavier, etc). Hard for me to narrow it down to one).

 

Second question: I very much believe that they probably work harder than 99.99999% of the teams in KY. But that is one small factor (of 100's) as to why they win. (Same goes for the rest of the list I stated above) Not to mention .. who was the coach at Trinity before Bob Beatty? (I have no clue either ... because he came in .. and didn't meet the expectations of the job and whoever it was .. certainly did not walk in .. and drive a porsche to the state championship every year).

Like I have said before, NKY is the best football in KY. Why? I think their geographic area being close to Ohio, a REAL football state helps them. Being close or counted (Greater Cincinnati area) is a huge plus. $$$$$$.

Rambo, have to disagree with the first point. Yes, we have some very good football programs in NKy, but once you get past HHS, Cov. Cath, New Cath and Beechwood there is not a single program that I can think of that consistently gets deep in the playoffs year in and year out. In other words, we have some mediocre programs here in NKy as well. Except for New Cath, all of those other programs are in environments where players are well supported ($$$$). I would say overall, the best programs collectively are in Louisville.

That's 4 schools. You can add Holy Cross in recent years, Ryle made it to state a while back. Boone will be good with their new coach I will guarantee you that. That's about 7 schools that have won state titles in the past. So to me, that shows you how GREAT the NKY region is.

I'm not from Trinity obviously but the link shows that they lost 2 games, one the the eventual state champion and one to the state runner up. I don't remember that X team very well but I believe that Bryan Station team had 2 or 3 guys that played in the NFL on their team. 2 losses against very good teams is a bad situation? Tough crowd

If you saw NKy 6A play their games last year, you might feel differently. Campbell County played the best in District, and SK played the best in the playoffs, but on the whole, a very under-welming season from the entire district.

What I honestly think ... is that you need to learn how to read.

Geography has very little to do with great programs.

I have provided numerous examples that you refuse to acknowledge.

Well ... here is my last example before I excuse myself to debate with people who obviously refuse to look outside and past their little window on the world ... ...

 

In Class A ... I know for a fact that the best football in the state over the past four years comes from:

2009: Lexington

2010: Mayfield

2011: Hazard

2012: Mayfield

 

If you can dispute that ... please ... continue to offer your biased opinion over FACT.

Bellevue: Late Seventies (Over 30 years ago)

Ludlow: Sixties? Seventies? (Definitely not the 80's)

Dayton: 1965 (Almost 50 years ago?)

Lloyd Memorial: 1976 (37 years ago ... may as well of been 1876)

Boone: ZERO State Championships (Last thought of as a Large School power in the 90's ... and have had really good seasons lately and really bad seasons as well). Still ZERO state championships)

Cooper: Brand new ... great effort in the finals

Ryle: Yeah .. In the finals (umm ... because X was on the other side of the bracket)

SK: Again .. Yeah .. In the finals (because X was on the other side of the bracket)

Mayfield (goes without saying)

Paducah Tilghman (won the big one a few years back)

Lone Oak (Have been to the finals recently)

Murray (Right in the mix the last few years)

Caldwell County (One in the 90's ... almost won this past year)

Christian County (Pretty sure they have been to the big show lately)

Bowling Green (Thats right ... pretty sure they have won a few)

 

I would be willing to bet money that PER CAPITA ... WKY has easily been more successful in the past 4-5 years (make sure you look that up before you answer ... because some of us are most likely baiting you into another ridiculous, non-factual answer)

He didn't leave for a better job. He actually left because of a personal family issue.

I know many people involved in Trinity's program. I know that none of them were upset with him. They all expected him to be extremely good at Trinity, and do the same thing when he left, which he did. As far as being a liar....you forget that Beaty had to build back when he started. In 2000 they lost to highlands and lost bad to Male in the finals. In 2004 they lost to Dixie in the second round of the playoffs. He has done a phenominal job and will continue to do so, but don't act like their fan base didn't have faith in the man before him. Two losses to the state champion and the state runner up? That game, btw, was decided in overtime between X and Station.
