I agree. I do think D1 is a stretch for most of them, but someone could take a chance on them. As far as the Timmons example, they might have shut him down, but I wouldn't call that competition. Was the qb good enough to overcome the closer coverage? Were they bringing a saftey over behind the guy in a sense to have a security blanket is he did get loose. Maybe the QB didn't throw his way thinking they would use him as a decoy. How did the other receivers do against them? What were their numbers. I have no idea, but that is the questions I would ask if they shut him down.

Wrong on all accounts. Morgan had 1 on 1 coverage just about the entire game. Their QB has a D1 scholarship so your assumption that the QB just wasn't good enough is wrong. The QB did throw his way, look at Morgans numbers on defense thaat game, they targeted Timmons a lot. So that should answer your questions and for you to say you wouldn't call that compeitition is a joke. Cooper went to the sstate championship game, what more competition would you like?

I didn't say it did. I know who won. I'm basically asking (which no one has answered) how did the other receivers do? When one guy requires so much attention, sometime others go off. Please tell me where I said it backfired in that game. But if I do recall it was a high scoring close game. So it may have worked, but barely.

 

And what does the cooper FC game have to do with recruiting in NKY? Unless they were here to recruit the losing QB and receiver from down state!!

 

Cooper had a great year. We were all cheering for them. But that doesn't mean they all of a sudden have a bunch of kids that are in high demand for college. Cov cath and HHS have a ton of great Nky football players every year that don't get to sniff the next level. Just because you have a fantasy season doesn't mean the scouts are going to be slobbering over your kids. I'm sure they are great athletes, but they are very common across the US. Sorry that the truth hurts.

And if he was that good, has all those accomplishments and is a senior, why only two local schools. If he's that fast and good, they would be all over him. Something doesn't add up! Hands? Football IQ? Has straight speed but no quickness? Something has to be keeping him from being place in elite status if he's everything you say. I don't know, I never had a reason to go see him play.

We know all about the school combines and what they look for. That would suggest to us that maybe he isn't as good as his family thinks...especially if he IS going to these combines and still not getting the exposure his family thinks he should get.

 

Again, I thought we were talking about all recruiting in Nky. Or was this thread started with the intent to really ask why my kid isn't being recruited. Why do we keep going back to a select few that had and above average career in a very average football region and against very average football talent statewide. It is what it is. Outside of a few teams in the state, ky is a very average football state.

Agree 100%. Sounds like this kid has attended them. Why no significant offers then? If he's going to them and he is in the back half of his senior year with no real significant offers yet, that tells us a lot. Teams don't start looking at you in your senior year.

How do you know he hasn't been on college radars since his junior year? You have said yourself you have never watched him play.

He doesn't have his recruiting endeavors splattered all over the Internet because he is a humble person. He's not a chest beating look at me look at me type of kid. . Like I mentioned previously many kids choose to keep their recruiting private within their families and close inner circles, Fogle is one of them. Scout, rivals and the others have to be updated by the player in case you were unaware.

 

The reason I did not answer your question about UK and UC previously is because Fogle does not want his business public. When the time comes, up you'll have the answer to your question.
