When was the last time the Blueboys defeated Highlands at the frosh level?

I saw CovCath's 8th grade team last year and they were pretty impressive. Vonhandorf is the real deal..

 

Cole is very much the real deal.

 

Shelton will be a name to follow I predict- as will Pilger. Many many talented kids who bring a lot to the table with this incoming group of CCH freshmen. I hope they all stay with football but I know several also play basketball so we'll see in a couple years.

Not sure the last time the Blueboys defeated Highlands at the frosh level. I do know Ryle is going for their third straight victory over the Bluebirds this coming year. Ryle frosh will be special this year.

Incoming Ryle Frosh have some very good talent - but the incoming CCH Frosh beat them pretty convincingly last season.

Do not agree with the weak sisters of the poor comment . :no: Have you seen the Ryle schedule? This is also a discussion about frosh football and the fact is that we have won the last two years and going for a third. It should be fun to watch when these three classes come together.

You are correct that this is about Frosh Football, Highlands frosh football. Start a thread about how great Ryle is and/or will be. Interesting that they have 3 great classes and yet still begged off the game with Highlands. Find that rather interesting to say the least.

CCH has a very nice incoming team. Should be a fun game to watch. I think the frosh championship should come down to these two teams. Ryle won convincingly their 7th grade year (I think it was 35-14) and CCH won last year ( would not say convincingly) but they won the game. Really excited to see these two play again.:taz:

I would highly doubt it. Will play baseball throughout summer and fall. Look for him to return to the hardwood however.

Last two years has been a case of CCH playing it like a scrimmage (since it didn't count against their schedule) and Ryle playing it like a game ( since it did count against their schedule). So CCH plays 1st string in 1st half - and the bench in the 2nd. Ryle played 1st string throughout.

Really? Thinking back the day the 8th grade teams played it was really windy and we could not run the ball effective. Scrimmage or real game... if score is kept we play to win. Ryle also did not play their starters the entire game. Ryle's Middle School program is a developmental team and every kid plays. We do not play all of the best kids together for a full half. I know because my kid is a first year player and he played a lot in this game ( first and second half). Ryle lost some games last year because of this rule but hopefully it will make us better in the future. No excuses here, we lost and look forward to the rematch. Sorry to the Highlands fans for hijacking your thread and we can continue this discussion in a THE INCOMING CCH FROSH TEAM WILL BE THE MOST DOMINATING FROSH TEAM EVER THREAD.

Ii have to agree. He is a baseball first kid (greatest love). He also had some success on the hardwood. I believe he is going to hang his hat on those two. He definitely would be in the mix as he is very athletic, but who can fault a kid for doing what he enjoys (kudos)'
