Highlands 2013 Frosh

Keep living the dream through your young son if that is what gets you fired up. My gosh we are talking about starter football like it is the next step to the NFL. Got better things to do with my time on September 9 so I am sure I will not be making it, but I bet I can pick you out of the crowd at the game that is for sure.

No I am helping my son make his dreams come true! He has been to more football camps than some highschool kids. This ishis second seas on of football and he has gained over 20 pounds and 6 inches since last football season. He has one major goal and that is to play college football for UK, UC or Penn State and he is very focused!

How old is your son again?

I hope your son truly accomplishes those goals. If not I am sure Dad can teach him a thing or two about BMX racing. Tell us about your football past. If I recall correctly you did not play? Correct?

I hope you're not setting him up for a major letdown.

That would explain a lot.

Yea just remember the Pioneers best Freshman football player plays JV and Varsity and doesn't even play Freshman ball!

I guess your talking about Racke and he is very good. I was impressed with the running back? Did you make the game tonight?

It has been stated on here many times that one of the reasons Highlands is so successful is because of their youth program. Either it means something, or it doesn't. It doesn't get to change.

It has also been stated on here many times that FTJFBL is more about development and playing than winning. Hence all the playing time required for the second stringers. I think that's what he's referring to anyway.

Sounds like the future of Highlands football is not going to be good! :D

Based on a freshman game really? HHS dug a hole with two turnovers inside the 5 in the first 90 seconds of the game. Take away the 13 spot and its zeros. Good programs develop in Dale and Brian we trust.

Never raced BMX. I used to race motocross on motorcycles. Bad grades in school. But played sports everyday out of school. When I went to school playing for SK wasn't cool.

I am sure Highlands will rebound.

Enough thread jacking good look Highlands.

Ram, you need to look into how "the program" is run my friend. Then compare it to the NKYFL and then you will get it. Two completely different philosophies especially at the younger ages. Actually all the levels. It's cool though. Remember, when people aren't talking about you, they have forgotten about you. Someone must be doing something right.

Just sayin!

The Fort Thomas Youth Program is nothing like the NKYFL. There are not 40+ kids on a team where about 18 play and the emphasis is not on winning or losing, but keeping kids playing the game. Scores and results of those games mean absolutely nothing and you will not see HHS parents on here gloating about how the 3/4 green team spanked the 3/4 gold team last week. Much much different animal IMO and I have seen both in action.
