He has not been held back.

My post earlier was in reference to a tweet from Rex Chapman. It was a joke.

 

Regardless of age, I love this kid's game. I saw him in the state tourney last year and he has a ton of poise and great handle. Obviously he can fill it up.

Rex Chapman's tweet reference about facial hair made it sound like Justice was older than his classmates. Plus, he doesn't have a beard to begin with. The kid is just a fantastic basketball player at a young age.

Something else, the stats said he was 16-19 from the free throw like. It's not like Justice to miss 3 foul shots in a game. He's usually deadeye on those, missing one occasionally, but not often.

I was being a little sarcastic, lol. I really enjoy watching this kid play basketball. I don't know how high his college status will go as he goes through his high school years and gets ready for the next level. I'd personally like to see him in a Kentucky uniform, but whether he can attain that level is to be seen over the next two years.

I'm pulling for him also. Even though I am not a UK fan there's nothing like a Kentucky kid in a UK or UL uniform.

Disagree. He's a sophomore now. If he's been held back then he'd be a junior or senior. He'll have at least one extra year to showcase his stuff. That makes a difference.

 

So that helps him his senior year not his sophomore. 62 is a great accomplishment, it doesn't matter if he has been held back. Most high school kid couldn't score that many taking that few shots if they were 18 playing JV still. But instead of patting this kid on the back we want to complain about a kid being held back.

I'm still shocked at the final score of the game. Roger Bacon normally plays some lock down defense. Yes they have the athletes to run, but I think they do better when they get a chance to play defense. Congrats on anyone throwing in 62. Especially in his third or fourth game in as many days.

2. Rex Chapman didn't know if he was held back but he cracked some hold back jokes on twitter after the game. Rex was at the game and watched him play. Despite the innocent jokes that Rex cracked he praised Cameron and his game and said he could be very good one day.

 

3. I didn't know if he was held back or not. Someone said being held back doesn't make a difference. I disagreed and said it did.

 

4. I've liked the kid since he was an 8th grader at a different school. I have no beef with him nor do I care if he was held back. Part of me wishes I had held back my son who is now a freshman in college. He'd be having an awesome senior year right now. Awesome!!!!!

If a kid is held back merely for athletic purposes, the wrong message is probably being sent by the parents and received by the kid.
