December 16, 201213 yr Never happen. They're still crying about ND rushing the court when they beat this year's sorry version of Cal's Cats. Which is why ND should rush the court when they beat UK. If I was a student at Butler I would have rushed the court for beating IU however if they have the mentality that they are better than IU then I am with them for not rushing the court as well. One can make a valid argument that IU should rush the court for beating Butler. IU is no longer one of the 'elite' programs IMO. I may be thinking about a different game, but I believe some of the Notre Dame PLAYERS were upset that their fans rushed the court. I am with you though. As a UK fan, it is the ultimate sign of respect when a favored team beats you and yet the fans are so excited they rush the court. On the ND fans' side of this, they did beat the defending National Champs. And I read somewhere that Notre Dame had not beaten UK since 1980. I find that hard to believe but if true, you can see how the fans wanted to rush the court. Plus it was an ESPN feature game that got the fans hyped. As I watch this year's team struggle, I find great consolation and peace saying "Defending National Champion".

He's a different cat, I don't think money is the be all end all with him. He is a class act and could leave anytime for more money but seems tied to Butler..."Good for him and good for Butler".
December 16, 201213 yr If you don't consider Victor Oladipo a glue guy then there isn't a team in the country with one... Certainly your opinion, I think he may be their best player. Haven't watched a ton of bball yet this season but it just feels like this IU team is missing something. Unbeatable at home, but not enough edge on this team yet for me.

Unbeatable at home, but not enough edge on this team yet for me. He certainly might be, but that doesn't change the fact he is their toughest player and does all the little things. What they are missing is anyone else that can defend half as well as Vic does. and Butler exposed that throughout the 2nd half and OT. Much like last year IU just doesn't have a great deal of toughness which will haunt you late in close games away from home...

Not sure what it is, but something just feels missing from this IU team. :thumb: My issue with Indiana is their defense. Offensively, they seem as efficient as anyone. Butler is really, really good. Not a bad accomplishment...beating two traditional powers like Indiana & North Carolina.
