Up on the "hill" tonight it was UGLY for Boone Co. The Breds race out to a 23-4 1st quarter advantage behind the hot shooting of Nick Seibert who went 7 for 7 from the field with 4 from behind the arch. From there it was more of the same as the Breds pressure caused numerous turnovers, including a steal by Jake Schulte who finished with a two hand dunk. The Breds invoked the running clock at the 3:44 mark of the 3rd quarter up 51-16 and from that point on it was all JV duty from there. The Breds travel across the river Friday for a triple header against Glen Este and return home on Saturday, late afternoon (4:30), against Christian Academy-Louisville.

Wow how bad is Conner? Boone bets them, CovCath works em by 35 and NCC gets a running clock on the team that dashed their Rupp dreams last year.

Sometimes it is about matchups. Sometimes a player gets hot (Seibert) and the score gets lopsided. I wasn't there but I have to believe NewCath's big men were also a problem for Boone. Boone is going to have to play good ball and get the most out of everyone to break .500 this year.

New Cath has played 4 games. Ludlow and Boon both came out in a zone and Nick made them pay the price. Dixie and Cooper played primarily man and NCC worked it isside. NCC is very versital.

I think Covington was hurt during the NCC/Dixie game a few weeks ago. Not sure if he is back yet or not. LB13 may know.

Love NIck Seibert and his game. Extremely underrated, IMO. He has all the tools to be one of the best players in the region...size, athleticism, and versatility. Also a very good kid.

Smith, from what I understand he will be getting his feet wet on the frosh team for a few games. Neff, Franzen, & Haas all played their 1st game of the season last night in the JV game, they to will be playing a few Jv games to get back in the hoops swing of things. They all saw a quarter and a half of varsity action last night. Covington played really good in the JV game last night, kid is a definite plus to this team.

Seibert's were all in the 1st quarter.

The margin shouldn't be shocking. Boone is a)young and b)not overly talented. They have one legit scorer who scores a lot at the rim which doesn't bode well against NCC.
