December 11, 201213 yr I got one of the bigger Keurig models for my mother, she loves it. Really depends on what your budget is. They can get pretty pricey. There are a bunch of different features (cup sizes, holding tank size, etc). The one I got has a 48 oz holding tank and 3 cup sizes. Got it at Macy's, part of their Thanksgiving weekend sale. Original $189, got it foe $85. I also got a little basket insert thing that she can put regular coffee in and not have to buy K-kups if she doesn't want to.
December 11, 201213 yr My wife loves her Keurig. I bought her two of them. One for home and one for work.

The pressure of the water blew the coffee grounds back out of the cup and made a mess. I tried it several different times with several different type of grounds. I even bought fresh ground coffee that was a little bit courser than auto drip coffee, but nothing worked. If this one works, let me know what type it is.

I just started looking for a coffee maker that you can either have a few cups or just one, I don't like the idea of the K kups as I want to be able to get different blends myself to try and not stuck with their K-kups only.

I just started looking for a coffee maker that you can either have a few cups or just one, I don't like the idea of the K kups as I want to be able to get different blends myself to try and not stuck with their K-kups only. There are about a million different coffees available now as everybody makes their coffee in K cups, even Folgers. Variety isn't a problem for me as I have tried several different ones that I like. I have settled on a couple of favorites that i buy and drink daily. Since I am the only one in our house that drinks coffee, and I usually only drink a cup or two a day, the cost isn't too bad. But there are times when you just need to brew more cups and it would be so much more economical to use ground coffee instead of buying the K cups which cost $.50-.75 per cup. I've seen different reuseable cups available online but have been reluctant to purchase because of the poor performance of the Keurig brand reuseable cup.
December 11, 201213 yr Same here. Hubby wanted to buy me one and I said no.I have to say it is one of the favorite things I have ever purchased. The kids make hot chocolate, the wife makes tea and I make coffee. It is a bit costly, but the convenience makes up for it for me. But as I said, I don't drink a lot of coffee and my tastes are very basic. For morning coffee I like the Millstone Foglifter, Green Mountain Breakfast Blend and Folgers Black Silk. I alternate depending on if I want a little milder coffee (Breakfast Blend) or something a little stronger. We still keep a traditional coffee pot around for when we need a whole pot of coffee, but I use the Keurig every day.

I drink a whole pot of coffee each morning by my self. Then will make another during the afternoon. Lately I have been hooked on the Gevalia brand. Very smooth.
December 11, 201213 yr We love our Keurig! I bought hubby the K-cup insert so he can still brew his own coffee and we have had no problems with it. I make iced tea with it which is so convenient! Got a great deal on it at Kohl's. On sale plus an additional 30% off plus I got a $35 rebate!

December 11, 201213 yr Mrs. TAC does not like her coffee really strong so we will run the same k cup thru twice. I do the same when I make my jumbo iced coffee.
