JHardin, St X, Scott Co, WCentral, Franklin Co

I there were a tournament played among teams that have been eliminated thus far, X would win it.

John Hardin out played BG & also had a very questionable failed 2 points. that looked sucessful. I won't even go into the hook & ladder BG pulled off to win the game. Not trying to stur BG fans up but JH should have won this game. So JH was the best team not to make the playoffs

 

You can't stir us up. We play Saturday at 3:00.

I would have to believe that the folks at Conner are having a difficult time for not making it further than they did. Still qustioning those 10 onside kicks against Franklin Cty

You're right they could have been within 7pts...but only for a couple minutes. Even if you give them that TD, it was never really even close. And we haven't even discussed the "what if's" for HHS. HHS won by 3 scores with their backups playing most of the second half!

 

I understand. However, the QB was a Sophomore. I knew that they would be much better, and they have been. After watching CovCath tackle, I'd say that Scott Co. at the end of the season was better than CovCath.

yes, & I applaud you guy's. BG simply did what champion do, They found a way to win. & that's why you are playing @ 3:00 Sat.

We're not making a list.. The question asks who are the best teams not in the finals. It doesn't say rank the teams not playing in the finals in order of how good they are based on who beat who during the regular season.

Scott Co should have beat Trinity as well?

 

Sorry but I don't see it that way. Scott played a hard fought ball game but in the end Trinity still out gain SC considerably.

 

on a night where T was missing it's star WR, it's star tailback playing with a stomach virus, it's QB having an off night with numerous over & under throws. T's Qb even threw 2 picks, with 1 being a pick 6. yet T was able to over come all of this because they are simply much better than SC. When Clutch time came. T's defense shut SC down & T's offensive big time players did what they do best. T's Star tailback fought through his illness rushing for 119 yards & with 31 sec left he ripped off an electrifying 67 yard game winning TD. T's Qb also made & completed clutch passes down the stretch to tie the score at 14-14. again, I applaud SC's effort but the better team won because they made the plays that had to be made & SC did not.

Actually as usual you have to use your bias in your decision. Conner is not the best tteam in 5A not to be in the finals.

 

Now if we were talking about best offense...then there could be a great argument between Franklin Co. and Conner. But we are talking about team which includes the entire team (Defense, offense, special teams) and unfortunately Conner's defense keeeps them from being the best team not in the finals.

 

Conner's offense, yes you have an argument there, but we're talking about the best TEAM. Trust me, if we could combine Conner's offense with Coopers defense we'd win some serious hardware.
