Reds vs Giants NLDS 10/6 thru 10/11

Stubbs. At least he's in the 8hole so we don't to watch him screw himself into the ground with his "put it in play" 2 strike swing.

I asked a teammate once who had the same propensity to swing that way with 2 strikes why he did that and he said "no strikes, 2 strikes, you never know when I'm gonna take one out of the yard".

So, I realized he was an idiot and moved on.

I just got home from work on a LONG day and I was pretty bummed out about the Reds and the way they lost.

This pic made me laugh out loud. And somehow, now I know it is gonna be OK. Can't explain it.

Coach Cal used the hashtag #winning

Was a tough game to sort through for me. Got there early with my dad and visited the brick we got for my grandpa out on the terrace before going in. Grandpa used to take my dad to Crosley Field for games back when he was a kid. Seeing that brick out front with my dad did get to me a little bit. Really wanted to see the series close out with him, but it just wasn't in the works. I'll have to make a new memory with GT Jr tomorrow as they wrap it up. One door closes and another one opens and all that...

You wanting Heisey who is just as miserable at the plate and not even close in the field? Did Stubbs not score 1 of the 3 runs today???

Stubbs(.213) has had two chances at home, why not give Heisey(.265) a shot?

Considering the last two days I've spent at GABP, I'm of the it is broke, so you should fix it school of thought.

I'm going back Friday hoping for the best. Go Reds!

My thoughts about Wednesday:

A. Leake was clearly not up to the task today. I'm not surprised, considering the circumstances.

B. The crowd Wednesday was more enthusiastic than Tuesday.

C. If you're a fan at the play-offs, you shouldn't be sitting down much.

D. How in the world does a team who won 2 games so decisively this weekend do what the Reds have done during this home-stand?

Oakland rallies for 3 runs in the bottom of the 9th to beat the Tigers 4-3. Reds will play at 1:07 pm.

If you want to fix it, don't get back. :D

Good luck today guys. I'm pulling for the Redlegs. IMO it doesn't get much more fun than this. I know this isn't how you wanted to advance after the first 2 games, but if I would of told you at the All-Star break that I'll give you one game to advance to the NLCS, at GABP, with your best pitcher (my opinion he is) on the mound and a rested bullpen vs the Giants with a used bullpen and starting pitcher the Reds have hit very well. I would take that. It's a 6 inning game tonight for Latos with that bullpen. Everything after that is a bonus.

Putz gets in for free, and he wants to call out all the Reds fans.

He has taken shots at this town since he got here. You know, the town that employed him to start his writing career...

I feel sorry for those punks wearing Giants uniforms this afternoon. I really do. And for all planning to attend, be sure and give the Giants fans who have been wolfing it up the last 2 days an appropriate send off.

We're not going to just club the sons-of-guns, we're going to rip out their living guts and use them to grease the treads of our SUV's. We're going to murder those lousy Giant punks by the bushel-basket. The Giants are the enemy. Wade into them. Spill their blood. We are not holding our position. We are advancing constantly and are not interested in holding on to anything except the Giants. We are going to hold on to them by the nose and kick them in the rear, we're going to kick the hell out of them all afternoon and we are going to go through them like crap through a goose.

Alright. Now, you sons-of -guns know how I feel.

I'm a nervous wreck...

If I didn't have to see him around through work I would. Unfortunately it isn't worth the trouble... :irked:
