October 11, 201213 yr My worst nightmare is unfolding before my eyes. If the Reds lose tomorrow and then the Cardinals win and advance, I don't know how long I may have to stop watching baseball to recover from such a let down. I'm praying that doesn't happen. I won't be watching any postseason games with the Cardinals in them unless they are playing the Reds. If that means I don't watch the World Series, so be it.

October 11, 201213 yr I was watching the game at a bar in Killeen, TX with no sound. Did fans boo Stubbs and Leake? I saw this tweet regarding Jay Bruce not being happy with fans: ctrent @ctrent Jay Bruce: 'sometimes it's hard to tell whether you're at home or on the road' Was very minor for Leake and Stubbs. Arredondo got the wrath of frustration...
October 11, 201213 yr It was sad to see the team just quit today. Even in blowout losses, the Reds clawed and scrapped to the final out. Bruce was complaining about the crowd not being supportive enough. There were many lunatics still waiving towels in the bottom of the 9th, down 8-3 with 2 outs. Looooong after the team quit.
October 11, 201213 yr All things considered, I thought the crowd was very generous to Leake. He actually received fairly polite (albeit low intensity) applause when he jogged off the field. Arrendondo was throwing batting practice. No one wanted Arrendondo out of the game more than he wanted himself out. Dusty left him out there to cook, in the interest of saving arms for tomorrow.
October 11, 201213 yr I thought that they were flat. I know, it's hard to buy that garbage at this stage and at this level, but that's how I'd describe it.

I think tight is a better word to describe what I saw in person. Looked like the energy was good until Arredondo got bombed. Just didn't get the big hit early when they had a chance to take control and it snowballed...

If they are in that mode tomorrow, Latos will have to put up goose eggs.
October 11, 201213 yr I leave for a couple of hours to attend the game and the tribe turns on one another. It's a best of 5 series. We have won exactly as many as the Giants. Need 1 more. Just like them. Latos goes tomorrow. Lights out. Not to worry. Leake is available to pinch hit or pinch run. And considering how efficiently Leake was today, conserving innings and all, he may be available to take the mound as well. Your affection for Leake is really starting to scare me.
October 11, 201213 yr Chance Stubbs starts tomorrow? 99%? You wanting Heisey who is just as miserable at the plate and not even close in the field? Did Stubbs not score 1 of the 3 runs today???
