I will tell you what Timmons did do, and I am gonna end my commenting on this this thread. He stayed home, he did not sell out and leave his team and team mates to go to a better school when things were tough. He could be at any of those schools getting all the acolades and more national and state attention, but he decided to stay home with the people and coaches who he grew up with. If you think the private schools did not come calling when he was in 8th grade your not too smart. He chose to stick it out and help get his team to somewhere they had never been! So to me he is Mr. Football no matter what happens in the Media vote. Good luck to all the canidates this year and in the future.

I think when you compare just the two athletes, they're about the same. I think Quick might be faster, but Timmons the better open field runner. Timmons plays defense, Quick don't. I'll take Timmons.

When Urban is recruiting you as a skill player you can play. Two outstanding players but Timmons is right there with him.

Trinity has 2 Mr. Footballs. Jeff and Brian Brohm. Quicks numbers and the teams and talent on those teams he faces week after week makes him the best and logical choice. No dissrespect to the other candidates. Heck, Dawkins cam and should be in the running as well. When you put up the kind of numbers they are producing every week, its a no brainer. Imho.

That was a Quote I stole from a Person very close to him (Ryan) I'm not saying all the colleges on his list but a few... Just because there on your list doesn't mean they have offered. Timmons is a high profiled kid, but be honest with yourself.
