I had no problem if Romney just said there are 47% of people who will vote for Obama because they are dependent on the government. If he would have just left it at that, I think he would have been fine with that statement, because he was just trying to explain how some of the votes will go down. However he messed up big time by continuing on with that subject, and then saying how he can't make people realize that they need to take own personal resonsibility for their own lives. When there are some who are lazy and take advantage of the government, there are also plenty of people in that 47% he talked about who are trying like heck to better theirselves and get jobs but just have not been able to. Him basically lumping that whole 47% together and saying they don't take personal resonsbility is where he screwed up big time! A simple saying of 47% of people will vote for Obama because they depend on the government would have got his point across just fine.

There definitely is a significant number for those folks out there, I know I have seen them too. Just like there are also a significant amout of people who have done everything they can to land jobs, get college degrees and still can't find jobs at the moment. Who may need to file for unemployment at this time and stuff. That is the problem with his statment is him lumping everyone in the group together, and saying they all need to start taking personal resonsibility. Basically saying that all 47% of the people are lazy and not even trying to get jobs. He screwed up big time by doing that, when all he would have had to say was 47% of the people will vote for Obama because they are dependent on the government. However he felt the need to go on about it, and showed his true feelings on all people who are struggling for money, and not just the people who are lazy.

 

This whole election kind of sucks because honestly you can't trust either one of them. Obama has many flaws and Romney already has shown he will too if he becomes President. No clear choice at all on who actually will do better for this country if either one of them would.
