PurplePride92
Maybe I missed those but I do remember you stating that you always have and will vote democrat so maybe you were just stating in general terms. I'll always lean democrat but I always try to be rational. I've also stated multiple times that I'd vote Gary Johnson(and still may) if Gary had a fighting chance I've also said that Chris Christie intrigues me and he may have swayed me and I am also interested in seeing what Jeb Bush brings to the table as well. The way democrats(Obamians) are castigated on this board doesn't sway me any towards Romney. The more Obama bashing there is the closer to Obama that makes me. Too bad Romney is running. I don't think anyone is trying to sway anyone else to vote for one person or the other. If they are they're wasting time and energy. For one, I doubt if we truly have any undecideds on this board and second, we're in KY which is going to go Romney no matter what so our votes don't count for much, even collectively. I think it's more a matter of venting. If castigating the other side would generate votes for your guy BGH would be Obama's campaign manager. cammando
At least 1 million ObamaPhones have been distributed in Ohio... More than half of that total were distributed in the last 12 months. Good way to buy votes.

jolmstead
Romney saying that "Its not my job to worry about them." , referring of coarse to the 47% of the population receiving government support, essentially handed the election to Obama. Furthermore, I expect there to be a trickle down effect to the senate and congressional races. Candidates will now have to separate themselves from the top of the ticket. Ohio has already turned for Obama, which state will be next? The reward for nominating such a weak GOP candidate will be handing over control of all three branches of government to the liberals. 4chs
She thinks he got it for her....that is the problem here....the entitlement mentality. As long as they get "it" they will give the government credit. Problem is, the "it" keeps growing. I run a small business....I have had people walk away from their job because they can get welfare with food stamps, free rent, free cell phone, free cable... If they were working...to get more pay, one would work hard, continue their education...if one is on welfare, to get more one just complains more. From what I see, welfare is ruining Kentucky, especially eastern Kentucky. Race isn't the issue. I know of a local factory that has problems filling certain jobs because of the same reasons you stated. It has gotten progressively worse over the past few years and they believe that it will only continue on that path.
rockmom
Well, I am finally back to address you guys who think I would avoid answering a question. Silly people! Don't y'all know me yet? How has the ACA affected me and my female posse? Well, since birth control is now covered, my daughter's prescription is now free! My mother is now able to get a free mammogram annually without having to drive 50 or more miles to take advantage of a low-cost screening somewhere. She can now go to her own doctor in her hometown. My daughter-in-law was able to take advantage of lactation counseling without having to pay out of pocket and breast feeding supplies are covered. Those are three ways. ACA now requires that screenings for cervical cancer also be covered. That's a HUGE one!
rockmom
Rmom if you really have any intention at all of giving Romney a chance, and I do not believe you do, you would take the time to look up his policies. I do have to ask why you voted for Obama who had no plan even though you admit McCain did. Why the change in philosphy? Obama did not have a plan on healthcare in 2008. Of course you don't think I have any intention. It's your way. You (and many others) make assumptions about me because I don't fall in line with and march to your drummer. I HAVE looked at his website...exhaustively. I can't find anything that constitutes a plan. Here are some questions I have (points stated, my question(s) follow): Give every family access to a great school and quality teachers. How? The hard right want the DOE budgets cut. How is Romney going to "give" anything to any family and stay within his party politics? Attract and retain the best and the brightest from around the world. How? What programs is he going to put in place to do so? What will lure them here, and keep them here? Increase domestic energy resources. Which resources will he focus upon? Oil? Wind? Solar? Decrease non-security discretionary spending by 5%. OK....what are you going to cut? What criteria will be applied to determine the cuts? Is this an across the board 5% cut? Or will it be subject to lobbyist interests and exemptions based upon those? Give states responsibility for programs that they can implement more effectively. Which are those? And the biggest: Replace Obamacare with real health care reform that controls cost and improves care. Give me more details! What are you going to do? What policies will you apply that will control cost? Improve care? Are you repealing the entire ACA? Because the other day I heard you say you'd keep the provision to cover children until their 26 on their parents plan. You feel Obama didn't have a plan. Well, I voted for him for several reasons, not the least of which is that he DID have at least one plan I was wholeheartedly behind, the ACA. Another reason was McCain's pick of Palin as his VP candidate. That was absolutely a pandering move and it made me angry.
