Maybe. His stats are outstanding. His coach is a former Mr. Football. He has done things that have elevated his team to heights never before seen at Knox Central. Yet, he's only one piece of the puzzle on this team, often used as a decoy, and rarely seeing action in the second half when the game is in hand. Plus, he's just as important on the defensive side of the ball as he is on the offensive side. Here's a story on him from an area newspaper.

Here's a couple of plays someone posted on Maxpreps. In the first, it shows him throwing an awesome block. The second is a nice run. Both plays came against Johnson Central. Watch #4 in white.....

Nice player but in no contention for Mr. Football.......

Timmons or Quick.

Nice player but in no contention for Mr. Football.......

Good player but I have to agree nike49.

952 rushing yards on only 91 carries, 15 tds in five games and he only a "nice" player?

Canady is the 2012 version of Rees Macshara. He'll have the stats and team success to validate statewide recognition by he won't sniff Mr. Football because of the names out there expected to receive it.

OK, let's give him a little statewide recognition and discuss him even if we don't award him the title. The kids too good to just dismiss.

I feel you. I hope to be able to see him play this season. Preferably not against Boyle but I'll take what I can get. He's definitely one of the best players and one of the top seniors in the state.

No, he is not a contender for Mr. Football.
