Don't know. I have no clue how the economy works, how taxes work or none of that stuff. I am in a Union and democrats are strong supporters of Unions and their cause. I know when Bush was the POTUS my company laid off 80 Union workers and 40 salaried workers were permanently let go. I know when Obama was the POTUS all 80 Union workers were brought back and we have hired 25 more this year and 10 more will be starting in the next month. Obviously whatever Obama has done to destroy the economy in the last four years hasn't affected my company adversely. My company isn't spending less or holding money in fear of what Obama's economic policies may bring.

But after I did a quick ballpark assessment of the amount of taxes I have paid in my lifetime, which is well over $100,000 at this point, I thought it might be good to take some interest in where those dollars are being spent. I am glad things are good with you and your household and your company. And I fully support your right to support whoever in any election. I just think it is important for citizens to keep our government in check, and not turn a blind eye to how our money is being spent.

I don't disagree. I am just very uneducated and uninformed when it comes to how my tax dollars are spent. I feel like I need some economics classes to fully grasp what goes on with our money. They could tell me anything and it would pass as acceptable to me because I wouldn't know any better.

If he could manage to avoid a country's flag that had no ties to Europe, Islam, or any hint of Socialism he should be good.

I personally wouldn't choose to make an ad that looks like that, but that's just me. I'm not particularly offended by it - and for the record, I DON'T like Barry-O. I feel like this is a classic case of campaign-time "making mountains out of mole hills".

But this isn't an American Flag. It's an Obama flag. What if he made a flag and it resembled another country's flag? What then? Would that be okay?

I don't like the American flag to be burned, turned into clothing, altered for political gain (like Obama and Lincoln ones shown in this thread), or, and this is one of my biggest pet peeves about the flag, draped over an Olympian's shoulders after they have won an event. It's not a blanket and should not be dragged all over the place. JMO.
