I have no problem with beating this team. But showing no respect for a team is another matter. Why dosen't SV go and play NCH and see how that turns out and then write about no mercy.

A little info from The David Schools website.

 

This facility is able to serve up to 100 at risk students in grades 9 through 12. In the family learning center program, parents of students pursue their own educational goals, acquire meaningful strategies in dealing with teenage issues, and share learning experiences with their children.

 

The school is continuing to grow according to the needs of the students. An area in which the school has expanded due to student requests has been its athletic programs. The school was the first in the county to have a high school soccer team. Additionally a basketball team was added 2 years ago through the help a volunteer coach. The success of these offerings has caused the school to embark on new campus expansion to include a new athletic building which would include a full size gymnasium, male and female locker rooms, weight room and an aerobic room.

And if I understand you correctly, your statement "Show them how basketball is played and thump em' good...." is the proper way to handle the situation?

... I'll not judge SV based on what I read on a message board, but if they really did continue to press with the score that one-sided, perhaps some teaching needs to be done on their side of gym as well.

I wouldnt press but I'd keep scoring with my backups...I wouldn't just stop scoring or playing defense because the other team is horrible...I don't know why people are so mad about this game..You never tell your players not to play defense so the fact that David only had 6 points shows how awful they really are...And if you knew a couple of the David players stances on this you'd know they don't care to lose this bad...All one guy cares about is how many times he can shoot the ball in one game....

 

And of course I'd destroy a team to win a tiebreaker..That's an automatic bid to the regional tournament if you get the 1 seed in the 59th....With that you get a chance to win region....

I don't see anybody crying over Jackson City on this thread...

 

Jackson City defeated Millersburg Academy by 108 points in 1992 (final score JC 180 - MC 72). Also that same season, Jackson City defeated Woodbridge Academy by 187 points, (final score JC 215 - WA 28!).

 

In 1996 Eastern defeated Doss 156-70 for an 86 point victory.

 

I'm sure there are other examples of this out there if you dig around.

you are wrong if you do and wrong if you don't. What can be said. It's not good for either side. I think they should just put in the boys that don't get to play much and let David play the best they can with them. I can't see beating a team to death. It really is a waste of time for the varsity and a chance of getting a good player hurt.

The David School could have agreed to be the #4 seed in the district tournament and would not have had to play in the district seeding games. You're joking, right? Do you have any concept of what the David School is all about? A payday is the farthest thing from their minds.

I hope SV didnt play full court pressure all night if so thent hat or playing varsity alot would be the only problems I have with that. If their JV is that much better witha zone defense or something like that then they are nothing they can doa bout that.

Belfry played Piarist this week and it wasnt a hug blowout or anything but our JV played the game and Im sure Piarist left the game feeling better also.

 

But like I said if the JV s that much better then that cant be helped. Also if it was ran up with full court rpessure and stuff dont put the blame on the players because they just do what they are told by the staff. But I wish both schools nothing but the best.

The 59th District is no longer a 3-team district. With the realignment, it's now David, East Ridge, Pikeville and Shelby Valley.
