Last year Dayton vs Silver Grove. A Dayton player had on two left shoes. I guess he played the JV game with two left shoes. During the varsity game both coaches met at the scorers table and with an official laughing about it.

I didnt see if but I would say that this game ranks up there as weirdest?? most tragic??

In the late 60's or early 70's (1972 maybe) when Powell played nationally ranked Louisville Shawnee. They won the game & made something like 70 of 99 free throws!! Talk about taking a game!!!!! Check out the KHSAA record books!! Powell is all over the most free throws game (99 leads & 2nd is like 66) and season. Talk about a home court advantage!!!!

Obviously someone didn't know how to keep a book. What year was it Jim? Can you tell?

At the freshman level, yes, I can see that happening (having someone who doesn't know how to keep a book). No way the scorebook was correct.

Long, long ago Holmes had a 1 point lead and was holding the ball. Hebron High was trying to decide whether to foul when suddenly the score keeper, without warning or consulting with anyone, put up 2 more points for Hebron. Holmes took a hurried last shot and missed and Holmes promising season was over.

I ran into John Crigler, who benefited from that situation, a couple of years ago and he labelled it "the wierdest thing he had ever seen in basketball".

Were they down 1 and the 2 points made it 3 so he shot it or were they up 1, then down 1....if so, did Hebron go down and score or was it an error?

Still, nice "home court" advantage.

IN the early 80's I saw a cheerleader during a break of a High school game between Bellevue and Connor fall from the top of the pyramid straight on her back.... she had a seizure.... I was like 12 yrs old at the time... I thought she was dead.... about a 12 ft drop and a loud thud.....

About 20 years ago Sayre was playing at Powell County and one of Sayre's players started guarding the referee, shadowing him everywhere he went up and down the floor, until the ref eventually called a technical.

The referee asked him what he was doing and he told him that when they were in a timeout, and had decided to go man to man, he had asked the coach who he wanted him to guard. The coach supposely pointed toward the referee and said, "Guard him, he's the one killing us."

Didn't see it but the story goes that when Jock Sutherland was coaching at Lafayette he was upset about a call and came onto the floor. The official supposedly said to him "Coach I am going to give you a T for every step you take back to the bench." Sutherland called 2 players onto the floor and had them carry him back to the bench.

...Oh My....

These are great, keep posting....

About 15 years ago I was watching a boys middle school game, one of the coaches about 45 years old was up yelling at the officals and jumping around. He got really excited and his false teeth popped out of his mouth, the teeth flew about 10 feet under the other teams chairs, he ran over got down on his hands and knees and grabbed his teeth, looked at them, put them back in and started yelling at the refs again, the crowd went crazy.

How about the time when Laurel County's Cardinal got decked by a Corbin player.

About three years ago at one of the Scott SK games Scotts center set a pick on SK point guard and his dad charged the court. Craziest thing i have ever seen.

That's got to be one of the funniest things I've ever heard.
