Alabama 41 Michigan 14

I really am hoping to see USC vs Bama in a National Title game. Offense vs Defense.

I thought Bama's offense looked pretty good last night. But I get what you are saying.

I'd say Oregon would have something to say about that...

Nick Saban might very well go down as the best college coach in history when it's all over. He is a mastermind on defense and outstanding recruiter. It's amazing that they had almost 5-6 1st round defensive picks go in the 1st round and have reloaded like they have! I thought the offense looked better than last year. They are a coaches dream on both sides of the ball. They physically impose their will and break your spirit. Michigan was done in the 1st quarter! Yelton looked like a poor mans Adrian Peterson. Bigger back reminded me of Ingram. Oline is outstanding. I do think you have to throw to beat them. Slants and some deep balls were there. Ark with Petrino would have been interesting!

I wonder if Alabama football fans like UK basketball as much as UK basketball fans like Alabama football???

I'm not positive, but #4 For Bama was Yeldon, a true Freshman. He played HS football in the state of Alabama. His numbers were crazy good, joining the team after his Frosh year, he had over 6200 yards rushing and 72 touchdowns. Stud, no doubt about it.

Correct on the last name. I think I'm correct that he initially committed to AU before changing his mind.

Two notes as to how crazy people are.

1. Floyd Mayweather supposedly bet $3M on Michigan.

2. Someone voted Michigan #1 in pre-season.

I have a friend who lives in Birmingham, AL. I was kidding him about whether the SEC fans down there were fired up about the UK-UL matchup. (Answer: no.) He said that the lead story on the TV sports airing around July 1 was about the jerseys that Michigan was going to were for the game. I'd say Bama FB fans and UK bball fans are about the same.

41 Points from Bama and they weren't even trying to score in the second half. That team is once again the BEST in the nation. Sure I want them to play USC, just to make them look bad.

IMO this doesnt prove that Michigan was overrated it proves that Alabama is just that Dang good. Michigan is still a very good team and will have a great season.

Was talking about this the other day, he IMO is just like Calapari when it comes to recruiting the difference is #'s in the sense that 5 guys can't make a football team be amazing. Saban knows what he's doing and it's fun to watch his teams.

I think #8 was a little lofty for the Wolverines. Last season they had a veteran squad - especially up front on both sides - feasted on a sub-par Big 10 and found themselves in a big bowl game because of it. Kudos to them for that.

They lost a lot of players defensively, the QB throws pop flies, and people were caught up with Brady Hoke magic. Not saying it was all smoke and mirrors last year, but they are not a top 10 team and do not have top 10 talent. I liken it to Notre Dame in Charlie Weis's second season.
