Fist of all, you are comparing apples to oranges here. As I do think that Durham is a very good athlete, there's no way you can compare him to Hightchew. After all is said and done when Durhams highschool career is over, it will not matchup to what Hightchew did. So stop trying to compare a kid who is having a great start this season to one of the best athletes in NKY in the past five years.

There is absolutely no way Durham was recruited to go to CC. That's why Highlands and a couple others catch crap. There's always the built in excuse that kids go there for just sports, and in some instances, coaches have invited them to their halls.

Talking about apples to apples. I would find it hard to compare the two divisions. As far as Durham may have lived in Bellevue but he RESIDES in Alexandria.

CC won 1 game in the mid-90s that was Tree's senior season.

 

It is and is going to be cyclical at NewCath. For the history of BGP, NewCath has been one of the best small schools in the state. Just before BGP, NewCath was just coming out of its "Dark Ages." The results weren't coming and the size wasn't either. NewCath is one bad defensive possession from being 2-1. They are not as healthy as you hope they will be. By the end of the year, they will be fine. Even healthy, this was a bad matchup for NewCath. You have a 220 lb QB running w/ what amounts to be an extra blocker. NewCath doesn't have the size this year to not commit 9 players to stop that. As soon as he completed that first TD pass, it was lights out. The sky is not falling. Not every year will be 13-2. However, they are playing a lot of younger guys right now, and that will only benefit them at the end of the season. As I state earlier, I would only like to see them be a little more excited about playing football.

I would also add to the comment earlier about comparing the two players that the levels those teams have to play at are completely different. You are paying to go to a private school at NCC that plays a very low competition level once it comes to district and the playoffs. It is true that Hitchew won a state championship, and I understand that is a great accomplishment. However, it can not be compared with going deep in the 6A playoffs. The 99 Campbell County team is an excellent example towards my point. They were a very bad 2-8 football team, and one of those wins was against the state runner up Newcath team. The levels of competition are not comparable.

Not quite. It was that ugly of a game though. My buddy Rife was hurt, so they started a sophomore QB. We scored on a long pass to Timmy Sandfoss and I think that he had a long run. Score was like 13-6. I will say that Dunn was a load to deal w/ at TE. He was a very, very strong kid.

I agree, they are not comparable. However, NCC plays teams that are comparable to their school. Not to mention, they also schedule schools much bigger than they are. Durham is a good football player, but he's not good enough to carry his team to state championship, he couldn't even carry them to a win against a smaller school in cooper tonight.

You have no clue. Cooper's enrollment is currently less than 100 students less than Campbell. Ask yourself this. Put Durham on those NCC teams. Do they win the State championship? Maybe it does have a little bit more to do with the competition than you would like to admit.
