Yea if camel parents say this team sucks then they don't have a clue. This team seems to have a lot of heart and play hard. The CovCath game was hideous but its behind them and this team will be a tough out the rest of the season

Wouldn't they want to win the first game in their new stadium?

The new reality is that due to the economy, the talent gap will only get wider. NCC, BW, HC, BBHS - where will they get their next generation of players from? More and more kids leaving Catholic grade schools, or leaving after 8th grade. They can still win vs 1A, 2A, and that's all that you can ask - but the scale has tipped vs 4A, 5A, 6A and it's likely not coming back.

What's wrong with getting alittle excited? The team has been down for the past couple of years and have had two great wins these past two weeks. They should be excited and the hopefully it will build these kids confidence. I am happy for the KIDS. Thats what this game is about right, the kids? No one is saying that they are good all of a sudden but they have had some good success towards the end of the year last year and starting this year. Give the kids some credit for coming back after a bad loss the first game of the season against covcath. I can't stand people who just want to point out the negative things. I hope the camels continue their success and have a great year.

Remember this will be coach Lickert's first year to where he is able to have say to who they will play next year. I am sure the schedule will be tough next year.

The funny thing is is that these

kids are out to prove everyone wrong bc they know that ppl aredoubting them even after they came out of nowhere to win the district last year. These guys are putting up some quality wins and they just keep getting bashed bc they were a kpush over for years. Well guess what not any more

This game was sooooooooo bad I have no comment, except, good game Camels.

At this point the 'Breds have to keep in mind that several years ago they were 5-5 in regular season and won the state title. BUT, they must find some way to stop the other team from steamrolling on the ground. Pass defense is decent, but can't stop the run.

I think we must keep in mind that the small schools will run into these down years in talent because of pool of talent to choose from. We may be spoiled by those teams competing with the big boys year in and year out, but evenyually it catches up with you. No where else in the state do A and 2A teams consistently beat 5A and 6A schools. Most places they don't even play them. When these small schools get into their district and region games I'm not convinced these teams still won't make noise in the playoffs.

This squad came together as a team after a 1-4 start. All 5 playoff games were on the road and non better than the Finals, UNBELIEVABLE game.

 

This years team, although hampered by early season injuries to key personel, definitely has the "top notch" coaching to overcome these issues. These coaches put their heart and soul into striving to get the best out of these young men. The players themselves have to "believe" and play with the heart of champions to get the job done.

Wow! Everyone knows Highlands has an elite football program, but statements like this, are pure arrogance in my opinion!

If you actually think Campbell has a chance to win this game I will sell you some ocean front property in Alexandria!!! HHS will be better next year than they are this year..Glad to see CCHS has won a couple games, but come on man..If you believe the Camels will beat the Birds you need help..:idunno:

I have to agree with Raiderbird on this one. I would think CCHS would want to christen the new stadium with a win. As arrogant as it may sound, the odds are greatly against doing it versus the Birds.

I hate this saying more than anything. Why not play the best teams and GET BETTER than schedule a team you could pound into the ground? This is the problem with the Campbell County mentality in the past, they want everyone to play no matter how bad they are but they also want to win and by playing those bad kids they lose and then blame the coach. It is called league ball mentality and I absolute HATE IT!

I totally agree. I was just saying for OPENING UP the new stadium why not go home happy rather than mad? Start the new year and stadium out on a high rather than a low..JMO
