28-20. 14-7(X) at halftime. Offense sputtered in the second half along with the defense.

I agree with you and I say the Tigers take down BG by 31-14.

I grew up in BG and would love to see the upset, but as someone posted on another thread, until someone proves they can go toe-to-toe with X or T, you cannot pick against either of them when playing an in-state opponent. I'll go with X, 34-21.

Didn't Bowling Green prove last year that they can go toe to toe with X? I think X will win, but BG has proven they can stick with them.

I'm waiting to make a prediction until we find out if Isaac has an effect on the game. I think this St. X team can score 28 - 31 points on a dry track.

I Really don't see any team on the schedule stopping Walker. Even if you go back and view last year's film vs T they only slowed him down but didn't stop him. The past 2 gms he has had over 150 rushing yards in the 1st half, and the gm against DF he had 2 tds called back due to unnecessary roughness. So i see X's offense moving and moving. Unless they have 4 turnovers like last game.

 

I went back and looked at the film and saw like 14 points in 2 games. If that's just slowing him down then I would take that any day. C'mon man, come back to reality. Now as to this year, you can't judge anything from the Fern Creek game. Boasting numbers from that matchup is pathetic. DF a better test but not close to the best defenses X will see this year. Having said that, it is clear that all the eggs are in the running basket again this year as 7-14 passing against DF (DBs were listed as a team weakness) is not going to cut the mustard. Not having a passing game will spell doom down the road. Now, as to this game vs. BG, I'm sure the rushing attack will post impressive numbers but keep an eye on the passing game... or lack of it. X wins this 35-21.

:clap::lol: You never cease to amaze me. But do tell who is the best defenses X will face this year and tell me why DF isn't close to them. And read my post i talked about Walker personally doing what he did with a terrible line. I didn't say anything about amount of points scored or any reference to scores for that matter. Look at the runs he posted. Go back and watch that. And Take the X off your shirt while you watch it. :confused:

Going by those standards I would say no X supporter would ever say a team that is not Trinity went toe to toe with them. If X loses, oh well, X lost the game, not the other team winning it. Bowling Green outgained them and totally shut them down in the second half.

 

It's hardly the first time BG has played them close either. They lost by 1 score in both '05 & '06, and 2005 St. X went 14-0 before losing to Trinity in the finals by 8.
