August 17, 201214 yr I used to be a big fan of Jim till one fateful night in January of 2003, when I put away a 1/5 of 7 year. I remember bits and pieces, but I know it involved lots of vomit, passing out in a running shower fully clothed and flooding 2 dorm rooms  Liquor I enjoy, Captain, Patròn, Jäger Beers, Coors Light if I'm getting drunk, Fat Tire for just flavor.
August 17, 201214 yr I stopped drinking liquor after college. I don't do so well the day after... Can certainly agree on that, not drinking it if I have any thing at all important on the books for the next day.
August 17, 201214 yr In all seriousness though, I won't drink JD because I have too much pride in my home state. I'll taKe bottom shelf bourbon or Early Times before I drink Jack. I watched a program on the History Channel about a year ago, and it stated that the only thing that makes Jack Daniels a whiskey instead of a bourbon is the charcoal filtration process they use after aging the whiskey.
August 17, 201214 yr Have to keep it real with the Kentucky product and show my Kentucky over Tennessee pride, Jimmy Bean all day. On another note, don't really drink that much anymore but back in the day I never really liked Jack Daniels at all, just had a sweet little bite to it that I never really enjoyed. Give me some Beam anyday, heck I'd even take some Wild Turk 101 before Jack Daniels.
August 17, 201214 yr When I lived in Mexico, we were celebrating New Years. For 4 months I had looked for bourbon, but could only findwhiskeys. FINALLY, I found Bourbon...and it was Beam. Not a fan, still not a fan, but for that one glorious evening Jim and I had a thing goin on. I will always love Jim for that. Jim over Jack
August 17, 201214 yr No self respecting Kentuckian should drink that Tennessee rot gut whiskey over the smooth bourbon that comes from your home state.
